The Spiritual Cantor channel brings you weekly Psalm practice with Respond & Acclaim, tips and tricks for better singing, news and updates about best cantor practices, insights on music ministry in the Catholic church, and videos for inspiration and spiritual growth.
You are welcome 🙏. God bless always and keep up the great work 👍. Listening from New York City, and it helps me with my volunteering at my church as a new cantor.
Hey, thanks! I did just update from one that was not in the Year A last time, so I won't be posting any more videos for a while, unless another new or different one comes up!
Correction: the mass settings are NOT the most important music of the Mass. See the GIRM and Musicam Sacram. The dialogues are first order music. The ordinaries are second order music.
Hi! You can still find the videos from 3 years ago on the Year A playlist! If you need the practice, the old ones will be the same, you will just have to look for the Sunday you are on and not the date (i.e. 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time, etc) The year A playlist can be found here: ru-vid.com/group/PLqJN0WoRNixV76fEyekSMyluk3Guj3BxS
I love your videos and practice to the every week! I was wondering if you were going to add more to 2023 year A list? The new ones stop at May 28th. I have been looking for the June 2023 list, but I can’t find them.
Hi, thank you so much! I am not making new videos as of now since I started these back in 2020 and they are the same. The only thing that is different is that I didn't include the practice sections, alto, or descant in my early videos.
Hey, so I created the June videos back in 2020, they will be the same for the same Sundays, just different dates is all. I will warn you that my early ones do not have descant or alto parts to them. Right now, I am taking a break from making new videos! All of the old ones will be on the Year A playlist ru-vid.com/group/PLqJN0WoRNixV76fEyekSMyluk3Guj3BxS
Gessica, you have been such a great guidance for me in preparing the Responsorial Psalms and Gospel Acclamations. Thank you for sharing your time and talents. God bless!
Hi, thanks for your comment! I am actually done posting Psalms as of last weekend. However, you can find June 4th on the Year A playlist, the date will be different, but the Psalm will be the same. Just look for the title of the Sunday, i.e. Most Holy Trinity or whatever week in ordinary time it is. ru-vid.com/group/PLqJN0WoRNixV76fEyekSMyluk3Guj3BxS
Thank you! Gessica. You’ve been a great help in our music group, for all these years. Without your tutorial, I don’t know if I can be a cantor, during Sunday masses. I learned to sing the Responsorial and Acclamation from your tutorial. I’m always looking forward or expecting your share, every week. May God bless you and your family!🙏🙏🙏😇💐
Thank you so much! Just so you know, I am ceasing posting videos since I completed all 3 years of Psalms. However, you can find the rest of the practice videos from Year A on this Playlist, just look for the title of the Sunday and don't pay attention to the date! ru-vid.com/group/PLqJN0WoRNixV76fEyekSMyluk3Guj3BxS
Thank you so much for your beautiful singing and playing, Gessica!!! Your videos give me great inspiration for my own cantoring! God bless you and your wonderful ministry!🙏😇❤️🎶🎵🌹
Gessica, you played the gospel acclamation twice in this video. There is no descant. Any chance you could add a video with just the descant pretty please?
Brilliant as usual. Jessica, when I go through the Somme and the Gospel acclamation with you before mass I am so much more confident so I really really appreciate you doing this. Cheryl from Richland Washington
@@TheSpiritualCantor no worries -Thank you for all you do for us songsters ! I learn all my psalm descants from you ! God bless you &all those you love ALWAYS 🙏😇💒🛐💒⛪️😇🙏📿📿📿🥰
Do the verses change? I was unaware that they were changed at all for each vigil. I believe the only ones I left out were the optional Psalms toward the end before the Epistle.
Mine show the same verses and refrains in R & A for Easter Vigil '22 and '23. Did you sing some different options this year? I did not include the optional Psalms towards the end before the Epistle.
