en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sweet Sweet (known as The Sweet until the early 1970s) are a British glam rock band who rose to prominence in the 1970s. Their best-known line-up consisted of lead vocalist Brian Connolly, bassist Steve Priest, guitarist Andy Scott and drummer Mick Tucker. The band were formed in London in 1968, originally under the name The Sweetshop, and achieved their first hit, "Funny, Funny", in 1971 after teaming up with songwriters Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman and record producer Phil Wainman. During 1971 and 1972, their musical style followed a marked progression from the Archies-like bubblegum style of "Funny, Funny" to a Who-influenced hard rock style supplemented by a striking use of high-pitched backing vocals.
@@DiegoMagnani Their most popular songs e.g. Ballroom Blitz etc. Were introduced to us in the mid 70's as the band Sweet. Black Sabbath was called Earth and the Polka Tulk Blues Band ......Do you use those too? I just go by what they were called back in the day...

So incredibly sad about Brian. Just a few years later he would be an alcoholic wreck. You can see the start here. He is only singing the main verse. An aside, Steve and Andy ( who wrote this ) are singing the more complex harmonies). Tragic
HEY DIEGO! WHAT WAS THE IDEA TO MIX THE SWEET WITH MIKE OLDFIELD? I CAN`T FEEL IT, MAN! BUT STILL AN IDEA, SOMETHING! IF YOU FAMILIAR WITH MIKE , I`VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS VERSION, 3 OR 4 OTHERS YES. OF WHAT??? HM! "TUBULAR BELLS". HIS GUITAR STYLE AND SOUND IS SO UNIQUE( ONE OF THOSE, CANT GUESS WRONG WHO IS PLAYING, THE SAME KEYBORDS SOUND! HAVING FUN! ' LIVE IS LIKE OXYGEN" ( I KNOW, IT`S MY OWN VERSION) REGARDS, THOMAS(POLAND-CHICAGO)
Hey Thomas, this is just the plain album version of Love Is Like Oxygen so no trickery or mashups. I know that this version sounds a bit prog-ish, à la Mike Oldfield / Alan Parsons / ELO, but it was just Andy Scott's choice I think 🙂
@DiegoMagnani Hey Diego! I'm fine with all this. I always admire people anything connected to the music. It's just me, I always hear someone else. Trying not to use it too much! I0 have heard so many different kind of music through all these years. We cool! Good luck Diego! Regards, Thomas
