I've been into the Ham Radios for 25+ years. It's my biggest hobby I have. I enjoy the community and friends I made from it. One of the best things besides the radios is attending Hamfest. This channel here is to showcase everything about that.
You can also find my group on Facebook called HAMFEST (CT,DE,MD,NJ.NY,PA)
Wow! New England Amateur Hamfest! This is really exciting and new for me. Just reading it is interesting. Wow, New England! What an interesting and pleasant statement! I hope all of the other commenters here feel just as excited as I am!😀
I hope that you post this video a week or so before next years hamfest. I think RU-vid reaches a very wide audience. Anyone searching for anything ham radio will have these type videos open up on their home screen. Thanks for the posting. I’ll put it on my calendar for next year.
This cracks me up.....Traditionally, Amateur Radio operators are taught to look down at and belittle CBers for not abiding by the rules etc. and supposedly being technically incompetent. But yet at nearly every hamfest or swapmeet there are old geezer ham/CB operators trying to sell their CB radios, illegal amplifiers, noise boxes, etc. and a lot of it is high-end. Hi Hi!
If theres any way I could get a copy of this, I lost my brother 2 weeks ago and you got him several times in this vid (big guy with cane and blue backpack) and Id love to have a copy to save. If youre in the area I work in Langhorne.
Good coverage of the event. As many laps as I did around the place, I figured I'd be in here somewhere and was right, LOL. I got several good deals that day. Always look forward to Berryville.
Around 8:29, did you see those guys wearing the gold Ham Radio badges around their neck? They are lucky not to have gotten pinched for impersonating a police officer..
I snagged that MFJ 2M SWR meter at the beginning of the video 😃 At 14:00 there was an HP35 calculator, they go for good money even as parts-only to HP Calc aficianados. I passed on it.
@@hamfestpa2070 I was thinking that vendors should post their callsigns on their tables, so your camera coverage pick it up. Might make for follow-on sales. A couple of vendors at Sussex did one better- QR codes! But a callsign printed on a 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, taped to the table edge would work. 73!
This was a great hamfest. I'm in the video with my boys at 11:42! I picked up a UHF repeater for GMRS on a deal that felt more like a steal at the asking price. Thank you for posting this video!
Quel plaisir de voir l historiques de la radio je fais partie du club radio de Lyon le RÉF ils ont un matos infernal une sacré équipe d électronique simpa des vrais pros.😂😂😂😂
I just stumbled over this channel. I live in Maryland, and wish I had known about the Hamfest. I haven't been to one in years.. I used really enjoy the one at the Towson Fair Grounds. Is there a published schedule of Hamfests in the MD/PA area?
Thank you for watching my video. You can search on Google ARRL. com and you will see the list or go onto my fb page Hamfest(CT,DE,MD,NJ,NY,PA) and there is also a list. Thank you .
Cool radios. I've restored an old one a long time ago. All i did was replace the old caps and some resistors and tubes. But these are AM radios and that programing is terrible. I would be interested in a small AM transmitter that played better music other than religious stuff.
