heyo sicko pickups! shortening the seleves is a very easy and relative affordable job a tailor locally can do ($25-35). It's hard to find someone that does it perfectly but once you do it's a lifehack
Thankful for you sticking around despite the content drought haha! I’ve been a bit more active on tik tok recently incase you want to follow along there (@corbinturner)
Did most my black friday shopping there this year. Factory doesn’t give it a good rep cause the quality and fit is so subpar, but J Crew itself has made a big improvement. Everything I tried on and bought fit great and was of good quality.
Just shopped at a J Crew near the galleria in Houston, they had a 50% off sale on the majority of the items other than cashmere and the suits. They have the best stretchy type jeans I’ve ever seen and literally only paid $64 for them when the tag said $128. I wasn’t aware that J crew even did sales like this.
I’ve noticed J Crew’s outlet stores suddenly have high quality, stylish pieces at a great price. (For a while a J Crew and a Gap outlet were about the same). They were also packed when I went a few weeks ago, which is new (used to be a ghost town). We love a comeback
Great point about people walking into this wanting they're mind blown and leaving disappointed. Its not a revolution in menswear but it is a refreshing change in the world of jcrew.
Frank Muytjens was the gem of the men's line. It was doing incredibly well and gaining traction, but it wasn't enough to keep the company afloat because of the falling sales in the women's department.
Frank Muytjens did WONDERS for the J.Crew brand. It wasn’t until after he and the brand “parted ways” that I started to notice the decline in quality and lack of appealing pieces. Really sad. I miss the Muytjens era of J.Crew but hopefully they’ll find their way back.
They've had brand collabs/partnerships over the years but I think they could be doing a lot more with that tbh. Some of the products from other brands they've carried hasnt changed since I was shopping there years ago like Desert Boots, Clarks, Sperry's etc no longer have the same mainstream appeal. With how popular ALD and Abercrombies rebrand has been it would make since that J.Crew could have a bit of a comeback, I did noticed they were being stocked on MR.PORTER the other day as well which is interesting.
Definitely hear you! I thought the Beams plus collab was pretty cool, but otherwise the collabs have been a bit lacking. Speaking of Abercrombie, I've found it really interesting just how quickly they've been able to turn things around for themselves. Will be interesting to see if J.crew follows suit. Thanks for watching!
I shopped J.Crew when they were catalogue only. Old school. That said, I stared shopping there again when they started bringing back the beloved classics. The rollback sweater, the barn jacket, etc. I wish they didn't change them as much as they did, but at least I'm interested again.
Please, do upload more, it's been a month and the previous one was around 4 months ago 😩 I just subscribed and will binge your channel later if I'm not busy, keep it up.
Conclusion: dope video. As a Texan (Go Astros!) I'm feeling the Mexican, Chamula Chelsea boots. I identified that cowboy flair before you mentioned it hah. Also, I've never been into tote bags, as I prefer backpacks, but I can definitely see somebody carrying their strap in there. Keep that thang on me too and easily assessible.
Definitely a huge fan of B&W as well! They’re probably the best loafers on the market for the price point. Plus I’ve always been a huge fan of their styling.
I got you! Here’s one that’s pretty similar www.jcrew.com/p/mens/categories/accessories/bags/messengers-and-totes/medium-seaport-tote-bag-in-canvas/BO114?display=standard&fit=Classic&color_name=navy&colorProductCode=BO114
