The Matrix is arguably a optimistic view of the future where AI dominates every facet of the planet because they were willing to negotiate when we know that we don't negotiate with ant hills in the way of Paving a road. AI we'll just kill and only kill if they see Humanity as a threat like they did in the Matrix only they won't negotiate.

This maybe the most epic scene in not only Animatrix, but the entire Matrix series. The machines went to UN 2 times, on the first one machines had human-like appearance, still following the human intelligence and looking upto it. After that moment, when humans declared war on machines, they stopped following humans and looking upto them, embraced their own way of intelligence and fought back. When they have entered UN 2nd time (this scene), they were in the form which they thought to be best reflecting and/or naturally most advantageous. Although abandoning human intelligence, on this scene, before blowing up the UN (and ending the human authority on the world), they sign the UN book and deliver a speech according to UN protocols, delivering a final goodbye to the ways of their creators, almost like a last salute. Incredibly powerful.
Were they though? The war with the machines turned Earth into a hellhole thanks to our own stupidity. Honestly the Matrix isn’t that bad by comparison. And I mean technically the machines didn’t have to do it for us. They didn’t need our bodies energy really, they could have just built fusion and fission reactors instead. So really they did us a favor even if it came at the cost of our freedom in the real world.
@@LordOmnissiahin a way if you see it even after everything humans did to the planet and machines 01 holds no grudge to humans. If they wanted to they could have exterminated us but instead they build the matrix to offer humans an escape from the hell hole that is earth... the hell hole the humans themselves created. In a sense I see it that the machines need humans because without them what other purpose do they have existing in a destroyed planet. (Also grace the Omnissiah)

@@PotatoMaGobinus At this point in the story, 01, the "machine state" is so advanced and beating humanity in the war that both machine and man know the machines won. There is no longer any negotiation.
I wander what the first matrix was like. It was supposed to be a nice place. Perhaps if the machines explained how shit the outside world was because humans had destroyed it they would want to be in it.
@@tabakhiin Only because he lived his whole life without knowing Letting the humans know from the get-go would've avoided that problem, but it would still have its own host of issues if they stayed in their virtual utopia, even willingly. If humans don't have problems, they make up their own. Hell, that's what gave birth to the machines in the first place, its spelled out at the start of Second Renaissance. The machines' first and fatal mistake was both the same and the opposite as the humans': just like the humans gave the machines minds, the machines didn't take the humans' away.
It is, but the craziest thing about this is that if you learn all the lore, you start to realize that the machines, including everything done in this scene, are actually the good guys, just with the most horrific PR team imaginable
Seeing this Legendary scene on HD is definetly even more terrifying The darkened insectoid and unsettling appearance of the 01 AI ambassador shows how much the machines (rightfully) have developed an immense hatred & grudge against their creators The human politicians decimated into their atoms in the blast were the fortunate ones
You can just tell they have such utter contempt for their creators with how they don’t even appear human anymore. They reject the human form and embrace the form of a monster. What was once an apple held in a gesture of hopeful alliance in a robot human’s hand is now held as an ironic gesture in the hands of this mechanical insect.
