Bravo to you for standing up for racial injustice !!! I admire your courage. Your letter was very articulate and well written, and I am glad to hear that your being proactive about the situation resulted in the racist nurse being terminated, so that she doesn't have an opportunity to intimidate anyone else with her racist ideology, b/c not everyone has the courage to speak up and fight back like you do. I am a Generation X Black American myself, and I tend to be a conflict avoider. I don't like participating in the "drama" of life, as I tend to be more of an observer of life. However, your courage in tactfully and professionally handling the situation, without becoming "ghetto" about it, is inspiring. It's when we become "ghetto", that "they" lose respect for us, and it makes it more difficult for our careers. I wish you all the best moving forward in your healthcare career. MORE POWER TO YOU !!
Racism exists especially in Healthcare system. In spite of being an American citizen. My being "Hispanic " seems to be very uncomfortable around White people. Systemic racism truly exist. Lack of respect, expectations that you have to be "criminal". Questioning my citizenship, it's just plain Barbaric. When I go to Dr. Appointments I shut down emotionally. If you're not the correct skin color, don't live in a "Desirable" zip code and of course not wealthy you will be treated like an outsider. I notice does not matter how good your insurance.
Im.a nurse , it's a hell they can be fake as well , not all white, but not sure why the attitude. They feel superior. I can't imagine what our ancestors went through with these peoe
Great video, i have been a nurse for over 10yrs and i still experience discrimination and racism at work. Do you have any suggestions for how to approach this ? Sometimes the HR department dismiss your complaints and forces you out of your job?
That depends on what you're experiencing. Coming from a HR background, if you bring them things like-this Nurse got one more patient than I did that wasn't a full assist, I felt like I was let out of the group, etc it might not be looked at. However, if you have specific examples and evidence of racial discrimination, then you should go after them. Many times people assume someone is being racist, but that is just how history has shown them.
Love the super nourish line 😍😍 I use this routine as well 😊 a little tip I recommend using a quarter size amount of conditioner a little goes a long way with Monat products 😊 for styling I recommend including the curl cream by Monat then apply the flexible hold gel then the oil last 😊🫶🏻 your hair is beautiful btw love 💚💚
She thought her role supervising you gave her privilege to say what she felt. She didn’t respect the boundaries of nursing care at all and didn’t respect the black client. Her privilege of whiteness and being a protected class makes her feel validated to spew out BS.
its sad but alot of people think they are above eveyone else, but reality is we are all the same!!Just born with different skin color that God chose for us, we don't choose he made us, he choose for us, and one day we will have to stand before him.
I'm new to making my own body butter. I suffer with real dry skin and eczema and have to find something that works better than what I've been using - Aveeno, it's just not working for me. I've been experimenting with shea butter and mango butter but haven't been able to keep it soft so next batch I'm going to try your recipe. Thank you!!
I’ve never shipped it anywhere so I’m not sure if it will change. Other than that I’ve never had any issues with the texture changing or being damaged. 💗
