Having an issue putting gas in the tank keeps clicking off if you try to put it in to fast. Have changed fuel filter and the purge valve with no luck. Any suggestions. Thank you in advance. Oh love the videos
Hey man I see that the alternator has 3 holes for bolts The one with the pulley, the one right below it And theres a 3rd on the bottom right roughly. Did you put a bolt through there? When i pulled mine out, a bolt went there But ny new alternator has a more shallow hole for the long bolt it came with
The alternator only had the 2 bolts holding it in place. There is a 3rd hole that confused me for a bit. I thought I lost a bolt, but nothing goes there. The hole might be there for another model car that it may fit on.
I have a m54 also and I have a ticking noise coming from engine. I changed the oil and it took the noise down a bit but is still there. Could you give me all the possible ways to fix/change this? I know you’ve been with these cars for a decade plus. Thank you
325Ci was my first. The reason I fell in love with E46s. A deer hit mine, then I was turning it into an exo-kart, but Hurricane Ida came. If you ever drive a 325Ci and a 330Ci back to back, the difference is very noticeable. People are asking the same price for 325s as they are for 330s. So why buy a 325 unless you find a nice one for under $5k or you are buying it for your kid's first car.
Note: The carbon buildup around the injector extensions is normal due to the EGR system. Clogged injectors would be either at the tip or internal to the injector.
If you buy new injectors...make sure they are OEM level parts. Buy from FCP Euro for example. Changing working injectors with Chinese knock-offs is a sure way to open a new can of worms. I just bought a fuel injector test/cleaning machine since I have quite a few cars that are having some service work done to them that requires the intake manifold off, so it's a perfect time to service the injectors. I'll wait for a convenient time to service my E46's injectors.

I've been an electrician for going on 25 years now. And my cars have never been in a shop. I do all the work on them. I'm probably way more adept to working on stuff than you are. As far as bringing a lawnmower somewhere, I'm sure your a country boy with a big ol country truck. I'm city folk. I own 3 convertibles. I can't bring a lawnmower anywhere.
@@KrisO1976 LOL well city boy, sounds like you and the wife need to pay someone to cut your yard for you! I have a 2000 JD 445 and a 2024 ZT 1 54". Both cut grass very well because I know when to take them in for service!
The only "service" the mower should need is changing blades and oil. I do that. Not sure why you are bringing your lawnmower in for that, but you do you. Switches, springs, guards, and pulleys breaking within 1 year is not service items. Buying this cheap ass mower and cutting my own grass is cheaper than paying someone. I don't pay people to do stuff around my house though. I do everything.
And I still have no idea why cub cadet used different shaped holes on their blades instead of 1 universal shape or why even in 1 line of mowers they have different blades. If each different size they had a different shape, at least that would make sense.
Not on the M54 engines. That's for the newer cars. I didn't have to tune anything either because I didn't use bigger injectors or anything. Just replaced them with new ones. I could have just cleaned the old injectors, but I felt like brand new was the way to go for me.
I don't have the hose clamp on either of these BMWs. It was on my old one, so I don't have any pictures. All you have to do is put the clamp around the motor and snug it to hold the cover on tight.
Excellent video straight to the point! One thing that fail on the soft top is the wiring harness located above the drivers head. Wires can break or crack from the folding of the top. Just fyi
From the initial damage information, I would have guessed that you had a yard full of stumps and roots and hit everything you could, but your yard is nice and flat and clear. That's a lot of bad stuff to happen with that quality of yard being mowed. We recently purchased a ZT1 50" Cub Cadet, the first zero turn either of us has ever used and I couldn't be happier. Going from a standard riding mower for 22 years to a zero turn is a huge shock. It's like a riding in a Cadillac. The steering is like driving a car with power steering compared to a car with non-power steering. I love the ability to turn in and out around hedges and Crepe Myrtles, without having to go back and forth a half dozen times to get as much as I can between them. I researched for weeks to learn the good and bad between different brands, and it seemed that CC ZT1 50" was a perfect fit for our flat, 1 acre yard. (Less than 1 acre of mowing now that the grandson has turned half of the back yard into a go cart track. Gotta love those grandbabies while you can.) I saw some people complaining about deck vibration and how loud the engine is, and how rough they ride, but I found none of those problems with ours. The deck/blades/belt are all solid and smooth running. The engine is much quieter than our old Craftsman 42" rider with a Briggs engine, and the seat is very plush. I won't bother swapping out the factory pads under the seat for springs, like some people have done.
I made this video while mad as can be, because a couple of pieces fell off the mower. ... so let me be completely clear. The motor on this thing has been a dream. No problems yet. I used it today, actually. 2 hours to cut my whole yard. I'm jealous of your Karting track. I barely have an obstacle in my yard, but my wife finds them all. I don't let her drive the mower anymore. . . With that said, the mower has been all the problems. Tensioner falling off. Belt guards breaking. Weak welds. Etc. . This is my first riding mower ever. This is my largest yard ever. I have the smallest yard in my neighborhood. None of my neighbors use a cub cadet. I bought it because it was the cheapest. I still like my Cub Cadet, but I think I would also like another that doesn't fall apart as easy.

I'm surprised that our Craftsman made it through a single year, because we had a forest on the property when we bought the house and we chewed through every root and wild growth along the fence lines that we could, just being careless. That Craftsman was a monster, and it was only 800 bucks when I purchased it back in 2022. As a matter of fact, it was the very first thing that I bought for the property. After watching videos on the Cub Cadet and seeing all the complaints on the vibrating deck, I came to the conclusion that the distance between pulleys on the deck allows for a LOT of belt flop, which looked to be the biggest problem. I'm sure that adds a lot of stress on the spindle bearings and pulleys, even in the best yard scenario. It would have been nice of they had added one or two more idler pulleys to take up that belt slop issue, but that would cost a few more dollars in manufacturing. I appreciate your video, because it adds to the things that I'll pay attention to with ours. You can never get enough input on things like this. Education is key. btw, your yard looks really nice.
That's new information. I know the sun roofs have drains on all 4 corners which can probably be cleaned the same way. But I believe the convertibles only drain to the back.
@@KrisO1976 thanks for your reply, I recently faced an issue after the wash or heavy rain, that there is a water inside the roof, where wires are located on the driver and passenger sides and can't understand the reason of it there. That's why I think about the front ones and try to find any info in the wed about drains on front part of the car.
Your mistake began when you added the stripes yourself. You should have taken their work back to them, pointed out the left front area and learned what they intended to do...period! As to the center see through (thin, transparent film, etc.) again you should go back to Maaco. The errors begin with the paint section, then the front office inspection prior to your pick up. You can bitch and moan but did you ever give that independent franchise owner a chance to examine the work..and then correct it to your satisfaction?
Vinyl stripes have zero effect on the paint. I had no intentions of making a video which is why the best shots are still photos. I emailed the shop and went back to the shop where the manager just repeated over and over louder each time that they didn't supply the bumper or install it on the car, so they refuse to warranty the paint. I left a review where he also repeated the same BS. Arguing with the guy isn't going to make them paint better. I accepted my loss because I got no where with them. I didn't make this video until over a month later when I could start seeing through the paint. None of the custom paint shops around me wanted to paint just a bumper and even the ones that say they will can't give me a time line as to when they would. When the guy handed me my bumper, the good side was facing up and it looked great. It wasn't until I got home under lots of lights that the bad paint showed.
Great video and explanation. I've got a BMW E46, I'm thinking of upgrading my factory fitted stereo. I've owned many after market stereo units for cars.. they've all developed faults... it's the only reason I haven't done it yet. My factory fitted stereo is over 20 years old,ok it only plays the radio and C.D's but it still works. How's your unit doing? Thanks
I've put the Eonon head unit in each of my E46s. The one in my daily driver, I had in my first E46, so it's probably around 10 or 11 years old now. I typically use the Hotspot from my phone to run the internet on the radio to play Pandora or RU-vid. As a radio I haven't had any problems. While using my wifi, sometimes, but very rarely the radio may just randomly stop and go back to the home screen. Other than that, no problems. The one in my ZHP is almost 5 years old now.

For the price, Bav isn't worth it. They are plug and play, and a simple swap. I don't have a recommendation, but I am going to search for speakers soon based on the sizes I figured out in this video. It's the rear speakers depth that causes issues.

Driver of the upside down, Hyundai sped past me a little before this. The speed limit is 65, and I was doing approximately 70. The driver of the Hyundai approached the blue truck at a high rate of speed and tried to swerve to the left lane at the last second but lost control. He then over corrected back to the right, spinning his SUV sideways and making contact with the rear bumper of the blue truck. The Hyundai went off the road, causing him to flip. The truck was basically pit maneuvered, spinning him backward and of the road. The driver of the blue truck says he was doing 65, which is the speed limit. The driver of the Hyundai was arrested for "impaired" driving.
There is a spring clip at the top that you have to press down on as you pull towards you. If it's really jammed, you might have to pry down with something.
What’s up brother, my e46 are throwing these codes, P1343, P0313, P0300, P0171, P1346 and P0444. On cold starts if I don’t give it a little revs it’ll go into limp mode also. Been trying to figure out the problem for a while now and don’t even know where to start, nothing on google is really clear and doesn’t seem to be alot of help. Any help would be much appreciated man, thank you!
That's tough. Those are all misfire codes. Could be bad coils. Could just be the intake boots are brittle and cracked.. could be a bad MAF. Could just be something wasn't put on properly during maintenance. I'd change the intake boots, clean the MAF, clear the codes, and go from there.
