I have been looking for this. No matter how careful I am, I know my Texas heeler Roxanne is going to get ahold of one of my crocheted pieces. I don't want to use safety eyes.
This is amazing!!!! Just getting started crocheting and this is the best video I’ve seen like this so far! Going to watch the nose video to maybe get some ideas on how to add a mouth :) 😊
When I first crocheted a stuffy I embroidered the face and then stuffed the head and I was surprised that the features weren’t where I put them!! I was new to this though!😂
This vid of yours, is like you know that people decided that this is the year that they're going to work out how to do amigurumi! My 2 goals for crochet this Jan was Mosaic and amigurumil Well I'm just finishing a blanket done in Mosaic. (why I decided that I needed to make a queen sized blanket for my first mosaic crochet project has me a bit befuddled, but I've managed it and looks great too!) But out of the 2 projects, amigurumi had me more nerves. And it's the faces and details like this that worried me more. Thank you for showing these tips. Love it!!!!
Excellent video. I have been crocheting for years but have never mastered the technique of embroidering eyes. Also, can’t embroider a nose on a cat toy. It’s in the shape of a triangle-mine never come out right. Would you be able to do a video on that? Thank you.
You're so welcome! I made a triangle nose video for dog/bear, but it could probably be used for a cat too if you made it less wide. But yes, let me puuurrfect a cat nose ;) and then I'll add that to my queue of videos! Thanks!
Thank you soooooo much this made it feel less intimidating for me. I need to do hello kitty eyes and have been putting it off. Tomorrow I attack!😂thanks again I not so scared!❤
Thank you so much, such a simple thing to match the colour - but I would never have thought of it, also the patience when building the snout really pays….you are very kind to share your work.

Awesome 😎. I use an aluminum wool needle and it's a bit easier to get through. It also has a larger loop that helps with thicker yarn. Love the white highlights! Thanks for sharing, I plan to incorporate this to my stuffies❤
I have watched many tutorials for eyes and honestly this is the first one that I love and will use ❤ great explanation of hug the eye until it is the size you want 😁 Thank you
Thank you! I have been searching RU-vid for a week and your tutorial is the best I have found! I have a question, how would you make oval eyes? O have a pattern for super cute dogs and they call for making the eyes on a cricket and I am so not rich lol can't afford that! I want to try and make the eyes with embroidery, any tips you have would be greatly appreciated 😊
Hi Jennifer! That is so great to hear, I'm glad it was helpful!! To make oval eyes, I'd recommend making that initial straight line over TWO rounds (instead of this example which only covers one round, if that makes sense?) Then, instead of hugging the yarn on the sides until it gets round, only do that about half the time to make an oval shape. I hope that makes sense, it feels hard to put in words lol
