If we are travelling as a couple and sharing the costs what is the best way to set up a Wise card/s so we are using the same money.
@Wise
@Wise Час назад
Hey, Lynda. At the moment, we don't yet support card/account sharing. So, it won't be possible to have two Wise cards under different names, linked to one balance. It's also not possible to share your card with your partner. As a workaround, both you and your partner can create your own Wise account and order your own card. Here's how: wi.se/getthedebitcard Afterwards, you can always send money to each other's Wise account. Learn more at: wi.se/sendmoneywisetowise 🙂

Hi, I just my card in Malaysia. I am going to for trip to India soon. Can withdraw cash in Tamil Nadu, India using the wise card without any fees?
@Wise
@Wise 3 часа назад
Hey, there. Thanks for reaching out, agent here. Depending on where your card is issue will determine where you can use it. For more info on this, check here: wi.se/whereyoucanuseyourcard. With that said, you should be able to use your Wise card in India to withdrawal money from the ATM. Note, you get 2 free withdrawals per calendar month. After your second withdrawal, we’ll charge a small fixed fee per withdrawal. You can read more on this here: wi.se/withdrawalfees. Keep in mind, some ATMs may charge additional fees over what we charge. We have no way of predicting those charges, but they’re usually visible on the ATM before you agree to the withdrawal. Should have any questions on this, feel free to DM us on Instagram, Twitter (X), or Facebook. Alternatively, you can reach out to via email/phone call here: wi.se/contactus.

I have two questions. 1) I have both the physical and the digital card. If I'm asked for a pin number for the digital card, is it the same PIN as the physical card? 2) I have a US-based account and an EU-based account. If I use Wise in the EU, will it automatically deduct from my EU account? Thank you!
@Wise
@Wise 9 часов назад
Hi Catherine. Your PIN isn't the same for both your physical and digital cards. To check the PIN for your digital card, select your digital card on your app or the website. Click on Show PIN below the digital card and you may have to enter your password to see the PIN. For your second question, if you use Wise in the EU, it will automatically deduct from your EU balance as long as you've enough EUR inside. If you don't have EUR in your account, our Smart Conversion technology will automatically convert the balance for you that has the lowest conversion fee. More info here: wi.se/smartconversiontech Hope this clarifies your questions 😄

Verification is mandatory for everyone from one point. For quite many of our customers, due to regulation, it has to be done before they can even set up any transfers. In your case, it looks like verification isn't needed at the moment. So, you don't have to do anything for now. It can also come in many forms. So, we can only find out the type of verification required when you use our services.

02:10 Correct: banks lend their customers' money to borrowers, and in return these borrowers pay interest to such banks. 02:53 Public bonds are loans, too: Wise lends customers' money to governments (through public bonds), and in return these governments pay interest to Wise (usually when such bonds are liquidated). It's a good strategy but I don't think it's ok to state that Wise doesn't loan customers' money.
@Wise
@Wise День назад
Hey, Yuri. We make sure your money is safe and readily available to you. Most of your money is in secure liquid assets such as EU, UK and US Government bonds and money market funds. For a government bond to fail, the government would need to default on their loan payments, which almost never happens with stable governments. The bonds we hold are predominantly short-term bonds so we are not materially exposed, and therefore more resilient, to increasing interest rates. We explain more here 👉 wi.se/howismymoneyprotected Feel free to DM us via Instagram, X or Facebook if you've further questions - we'll be happy to clear your doubts.

How do I do a wire transfer on the app from UK to Luxembourg? Can I do this on the app?
@Wise
@Wise 4 дня назад
Hey there, thanks for reaching out. Setting up a transfer with us is super quick and easy. Follow these steps below: -Go to the "Send" section of your account -Choose where you want to send the money from. In your case, this sounds like it would be from your external UK bank account. -Enter how much you'd like to send. For example, you can set up the transfer to pay in with 100 GBP from your UK bank account, and send the equivalent in EUR to your external Luxembourg account. -Choose who you're sending the money to. For you, you'd want to add your external Luxembourg bank account as the recipient for this transfer. -Review all the details and make sure the currency, amount, etc is correct. -Choose how to pay, this would be when you'd input your external UK bank account. This can walk you through that here: wi.se/payingbybanktransfer, or you can also pay by card: wi.se/payingbycard Once you've completed all of these steps, you'll be all good to go! We'll keep you updated on the status of your transfer via email so you know when to expect it to be complete. We hope this helps, but if you need additional help, please feel free to send us a DM on Facebook, Instagram, or X. We'll be happy to take a closer look for you.

Hi there, again. We'd like to understand the flow you're referring to here, and see the clearer context. Also, we need to take into considerations as well the currency you're planning to use. Generally, there are several ways you can receive money from others to your Wise account. The available options depend on your address, currency and whether you’re using a personal or business account. To get to the bottom of this, can you confirm where Country B is based, and if the funds are from an external account or from Wise? Also, if Country A has the Wise local details to receive the funds, then, you should be able to send the money there (from Country B) as normal bank transfer. More info about receiving payments here: wi.se/howtoreceivemoney In addition, if it's within Wise, you can only receive payments in the same currency (except for GBP) as your account details. We hope this clarifies, but if you have other questions, as shared above, DM us in other social media platforms or call/email us here: wi.se/contactus

Every FX company either charges on the transaction fee or the spread on the currency conversion. The more exotic the currency, the higher the revenue potential. Its good that there are more and more liquidity providers as D-Local, NIUM etc that offer competitive rates. And Im also happy with Wise for sure as of today :)

Hey, Nico! We're happy to hear that you're satisfied with the services we provide. As for the rates, we believe the “real” exchange rate is the midpoint between the buy and sell rates on the global currency markets. We get our rate from Reuters, who update the rate in real-time during the trading market opening hours. Find more info here: wi.se/ratetracker We'll be sure to keep up a good work to ensure you're getting only an excellent experience 💚
