Spot on with the “I’m just here to get paid.” Kanye was never like that. He turned into a money grab this past year. I went and bought a bunch of “$20” items earlier this year with the timetable saying 4 weeks. I didn’t end up getting my pods for 4 months… had to email back and forth and see everyone get theirs before mine. I vowed to never buy anything from him again until he figures his shit out. Although I did buy a pair of foam runners the other week lol those actually came pretty fast. But I will definitely NOT be paying for any of these vultures albums… and HARDDD PASS on buying a single song for $5 a pop. Is he out of his mind? Oh wait yeah he is. $15 for 3 extra songs. After he already wanted everyone to pay for the album lolol a joke now. I’ll just wait til it’s out for free in a few weeks. Already made us wait months and months and months. Whats a few more weeks, compared to already waiting a year for the rest of the songs on the album

I want to say that Ty Dolla Sign is a horrible influence on Kanye. Never liked him before. Still don’t now. Then Kanye goes and has an album with him exclusively. All Ty talks about it fucking. Most of Kanye’s bars on both Vultures directly reflect Ty’s character. Ye showed us these songs literally last year in Nov/Dec, then ghosted for most of this year and came back with the same old songs but this time they’re worse.. and unfinished. And now he wants to charge $5 per song for some extra songs that he left out of the album lmaoo I’ve also been a Kanye fan for about 20 years. I’m 29.

I just stumbled on this vid 1.t the criticism of having all Men is unfair. Kanye was begging Nikki, Doja, and Cardi B to clear a song but their teams all refused. 2. The criticism of messaging is also not fair because since he made JIK the major complaint was that they dont want to hear about god/mental health. or his mom thy just want to. have fun 3. I would also disagree that 4/16 songs are good. I think its easily 8/14 songs are good if you dont count interludes slide.field trip, fried,promotion,river, sky city in my opinion aren't even debatable if they are good or not

I think the first 2 parts are good arguments and i can understand it, but still dont really budge on how im left feeling. I didnt know that if true about not being cleared thats wild! But without many women on this outside of that one weird song with his daughter it still comes out being sloppy mess of men bragging. Half the album still isnt a knock out swing for liking it but im glad u found more out of it rhan me, sky city i agree had some highlights

The entire album is based on the fans wanting the return of slim shady. After his definite fall off after overdosing and nearly passing away post encore he kinda stopped being who he was before which is rather understandable but also took his slim shady persona with him. Thats when he made relapse and recovery. The later MMLP 2 tried somewhat bringing this back but it didnt work out. Then he comes back again with revival (which is one of the most ass cheeks albums ever) and kamikaze (also ass). Eventually MTBMB released and everybody wanted the slim shady persona back. The thing is slim shady could never exist in this time. This is not because our generation is too sensitive and instead because slim fed on shock value and high schoolers feeling rebellious. If it released today most people would react the same way as you and take it at face value. In that case he would go down in history as" Mr.Corny Hate speech". Marshall knows this and he makes this album as proof. The entire cancel storyline is the proof of this because it occurs in a world where people still react to music like in 1999 - 2004. Obviously nobody would protest nowadays because of an album. The story line is but a way so he can fully deconstruct his old persona and own up to his childish freedom. This means the first half of songs are in his old persona. When listening to the album multiple times and analyzing what he is actually saying, most of the punchlines that were mentioned are actually not insults and light jabs at people. Like the "Bruce generous" line in habits. "but when it comes to givin it to anybody, boy, is bruce generous" Its actually a play on his middle name. His full name is Marshall Bruce Mathers II. "An im about as much of a boy as bruce jenner is" "Cause I'm not a boy, I'm a man, bitch, man-bitch" He is calling himself a man while actually just saying that she went from man to woman also clowning on his own crossdressing. "my speech is free as his choice to choose gender is" If his speech wasnt as free as it could be he wouldnt be saying this. He is calling her a bitch at most. In brand new dance he just says that he want to have intercourse with one. Also he says that he is pro which is the only time he is straight forward about something like this on the album. The lines in evil are just dropped to show that he knows that he is overusing the which is also the thing I dont like about the album. Two lines later he actually shows support to the gay community. This goes on like this. He never seriously attacks the LGBTQ++ community and instead only takes jabs at caitlyn. He actually mentions the support for his child in his later song which is part of the community (you can see them in the houdini music video). People seem to only hear these bars without thinking about them but ignore the way more build upon bars against disabled, small and fat people. The song temporary sounds a bit weird because it was written in the style of slam poetry because hailie likes slam poetry. I personally enjoyed the album and it is definitely getting a place in my top 10 and it only seems to get better everytime i listen to it. At the end of the day that is only my opinion as a rather straight male. (also please excuse any grammar mistakes etc cause english aint my first language) P.S. Really sorry for the ones living in america right now. Trump will obliterate anything good that developed in the last 20 years.

This was a great dissection on the opposite end of someone who really loved the album, thanks for watching and engaging with the video ❤ even had some things i didnt think of or catch on my listen! I think outside of content the production and beats are things about the album i didnt say in the review that were underwhelming for me. I think about songs like still dont give a fuck, role model, or even Evil Deeds on encore where im like damn i just miss how great those beats sounded compared to this
@uff20xd14
@uff20xd14 2 месяца назад
@@NightmareonKelpStreet my opinion on encore I kinda split. He was like on permanent hard drugs while making it which can be seen by his songs lacking any lyrical meaning or depth. It's the exact opposite from his new album. Like one of those fake knots which untie themselves if you pull on them enough. His lyrics don't make much sense and it's always kinda slurred. Using this you can even find out when each song was made. The more slurred, the closer to the overdose. I am just a big fan of lyricism and I would say that some of the beats are catchy. I also am kinda biased because I adore concept albums and concept songs. Just the fact that they have a functioning narrative instantly inflates the rating for me. Edit: I think peak Eminem is the MMLP this includes beats. While he is more skillful today the freedom and liberation from the album is hilarious as long as you don't take any of them at face value especially not Marshall Mathers (the song)

Ill do my own little review song by song as i hear them, im a producer so i might have a different perspective (also im doing this before i watch the video so im not "bias" and siding with you): 1.) opening song (end of the world) gave me doo-wops & hooligans vibes (album by bruno mars), would have loved that one to be a full track with him as a feature, fitted a nice vibe and loved that opening flow by ariana. overall good intro. 2.) loved the production on this but i feel like ariana didnt get the vibe on the first verse, chorus and second chorus was good, catchy hook. decent song, not a highlight song of an album, feels like a filler that is a safe catchy song. 3.) B-tec weeknd vibe so its a good song, follows the abel blooprint with some unique elements. i do like it even tho its quite generic (that dawn fm vibe) 4.) (interlude) finding it hard to get the vibe of this album, this saturn thing really confused me, im gonna assume its not a linear story and flow with it (really good production to have the songs switch through seamlessly to "eternal sunshine") 5.) perfection. this the ariana i want. amazing vibe to begin, the chorus is catchy and unique, great beat, legit no issues with it. i love that little pre chorus ("so now we play our seperate scenes" bit) playlist worthy for me! 6.) beautiful song, chorus shines and the vibe and the beat is same vibe as the last song so i love it, end is a unique production style and im all for it! 7.) super different vibe from what im used to, but that bass is doing something and i love it. her flow is awesome on this. the hook is phenomal, fits into the instruments perfectly, i love her confidence with the instruments give her room to emphasise her place. abrupt ending, would have liked a bit more time till next song. 8.) holy fuck what a good bassline. i love this, feels so unique. that drum pattern is so intresting on her and i love it. great chorus ofc, worthy song in this album. 9.) club hit, banger that can and should go viral. her voice sounds weird to begin with but works into it. chorus is so fucking good, old ariana grande vibes, this is a hit from that chorus alone. gives me 2017 "into you" vibes but more of a moving on song instead of falling in love song. weird break in the second half of the song but go for it queen 😭 10.) beautiful mix, beautiful song. fits into a story and makes me picture it, the instruments give me the space at times to process whats going on but doesnt feel empty at all at the same time. good song to put near the end to subtly bring down the energy 11.) good story, pictures it very well. not as good as some of the others on the album but good production and still a nice song. good pre chorus and the second half of the song sounds better for some reason, im not sure why. 12.) wasnt sure in the beginning but chorus is nice, very weird song im not sure if i like it or not, ill have to relisten to understand more of it. brilliant vocals tho. the first part of the chorus is so good then it takes a weird turn, unique for sure, i appreciate it not being "safe". more i hear it tho i like it 13.) last song... flow is great by ari, chorus is nice more of the same but nice closure for sure. again the more i hear these chorus' the more i like them. good solid album, 7/10 had some really nice songs on there .... now time to listen to your review :)))

i think what we have to remember is music (like a movie or a video game) is fictional from people like marshal, slim is an alter ego who isnt real, when you have a racist character in a film based ages ago that actor is not inherently racist, its a character to portray a story. slim is marshals alter ego where in todays world you cannot say stuff and marshal himself as a person wont hate these groups its a character from a different time where different things were appropriate and now hes coming back straight from that era (e.g the portal in the houdini video), slim wants to be cancelled and fuck up himself (self hatrid because everyones favourite eminem "phase" was the "idgaf slim shady phase" the one that "made him") so he (slim) wants to show marshal his value because he (slim) is the one who made marshal who he is and how big he became. its controversial for sure but its not a hate speech whatsoever, youve heard stories of marshal irl including people like elton john in private when back then gay was controversial (elton was engaged in 2005, thats early acceptance). i get why you can feel a certain way but its provocative on purpose and personally from hearing it a fair few times it is a work of art and a hybrid of the original slim LP, eminem show and a dash of marshal LP (2000) it was a different world then and slim coming back shows us how much has changed, opening our eyes and i could go along for hours talking about this but i really dont mean to offend and i fully support you and hope we can have a discussion about this 8:30 also if you listen back to front this would make sense as slim is disguising himself as marshal sayin he will change but he wont because slim has already won that fight im sure if you search about TDoSS reverse order you will see a lot of theories that make so much sense, so i will save you some time by not mentioning them and you can read them if you wish

This is one of the nicest well thought responses so far so by all means thank you for engaging and watching!! ❤ and yeah, i get thats its a character, but he even brings up the point on this album what seperate the character from the man himself when portraying the character over his discography is still saying and doing those things or hiding behind it. I think honestly eminem could still say and do all these same things if shady never existed and he would be fine in the eyes of the public because they would just consider him an edgy rapper like hopsin and move on. I personally dont find anything on here near the level of his first 2 albums, for all he said on MMLP and Slim shady Lp both of those i could bump still and have a better front to back listen than the janky bars and carnival beats we get on this album, but thats just a personal take. Seeing em fans out here loving this album makes me happy for yall thou everyones gonna love what they love, ill still be out here bumping relapse
@FinW.
@FinW. 2 месяца назад
@@NightmareonKelpStreet of course! yeah its the subjective nature of music, all of us have different experiences and preferences and thats what leads us to like certain aspects of things. Like for example i love this album because it gives me a contrast between how slim used to be (me and my dad listening to slims earlier shit + D12), and then now listening to more or less the same stuff nowadays, it gave me that nostalgia i was after and reignited a lot of those memories! but i get how a trans person can have those same memories but in a less nice way because of the mannorisms and the words he is saying so it is less of a "throwback to good eminem" and more like a "throwback to edgy eminem" and can feel like a struggle of how you felt back then and that wasnt yourself and how hard it was to live in a world like that. But huge huge props to you for still looking at it in an artsy way and voicing your issues instead of saying "yeah this was shit hes 50 act it" type shit that everyone else is doing. much love and keep doing what youre doing ❤

It doesnt have to be, i like really dense heady albums that are noisy or not catchy at all depending on mood. I just think choruses have always been a weak point with em and have only continued that way with time, and when a chorus is the part that is earworm with only maybe 4-5 good ones on here it just feels samey after a while on this project. Being catchier wouldnt hurt it to me, i think killshot and things on music to be murdered by was wayyyy catchier than alot of this album

Aw, Stop the Music was one of my faves, especially with the music video, but I guess different tastes x3 I'm glad you liked it! We definitely agree on Interdimensional and Old Ocean, it really is great stuff. Their music is amazing. I relistened to it to watch this video and I can definitely feel the like magical connection, I always felt like his music is kinda like music made by forest creatures or something sometimes. Love your reviews from what I've seen so far, definitely subbed!
