The interesting thing about this version of the game is that it was playable not only on the Game Boy Color, but was also compatible with the Game Boy and Super Game Boy. I don't remember other games with this compatibility! Really, they could have done that with the Super Mario Land series… Thank you very much for watching, commenting and for your patience. 🙇♂️🙏 ^Ed
I first remember this Legend of Zelda game in a Magazine along side with Final Fantasy Legends III which was really the U.S. Version of SaGa III. And I liked that there was a Color Edition for the Game Boy Color at the time. Personally, I was disappointed with the remake because of the frame rate issues for a Switch exclusive and the Chibi look.😒 個人的には、Switch専用ソフトにしてはフレームレートの問題があったのと、チビっぽいルックスだったので、リメイクにはがっかりした。😒
I've never played Final Fantasy Legend III. It should be interesting to see how they changed the game from one series to a different one. I also haven't played the remake on Switch. Didn't you like the visuals? Well, Nintendo certainly wanted to maintain the game's features on the Game Boy Color's small screen. ^Ed
It's been a longtime, friend. I've been planning to watch something The Legend of Zelda since last year, but I never found the time. I first knew Triforce of the gods/Kamigami no Triforce as "A Link to the past" in the west. I didn't know it was originally called that until more than a decade ago. I guess the title was changed because at the time Nintendo of America was family-friendly that they didn't want any "god reference" in the region. Apparently in America, the dialog from Link's uncle misinterpreted "Save princess Zelda. You are, the princess's..." into "Zelda is your..." which caused confusion and made into a funny Legend of Zelda Parody. (笑)😆 Other changes made were the Hylian language was changed to fancy characters because it contained Egyptian hieroglyphics, a tile from the eastern place was changed presumably because it resembled the star of David. Lastly Triforce of the Gods 2 in the west was changed to "A Link between worlds".
Long time no see, Stormbringer! (Ohisashiburi da na, Sutōmuburingā!) Thank you very much for watching the video and commenting. 🙏 I honestly hadn't thought of Nintendo of America's replacement of the subtitle “Kamigami no Triforce” as something related to religion. I think you're right! What parody are you talking about? I've heard of these slightly different dialogues between the versions (O, omae wa, hime no … …. and Zelda is your… … …), but I didn't know that they had become so popular that parodies were created. Nintendo of America used to make changes, didn't they? You seem to know a lot about the Zelda series! I think the next time I have a question about it, I'll know who to ask! 😄 Sorry for the delay in replying and thanks again for commenting. 🙇♂🙏 ^Ed
@@SRetroShock Don't worry about it, it's fine. I'm not sure where "Stormbrigger" came from. And it's this Parody: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fYzDtoYx4vU.htmlsi=vCFr81xKIlBCKS_7 このパロディだし: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fYzDtoYx4vU.htmlsi=vCFr81xKIlBCKS_7 I don't know if you'll understand it since it's in English. 英語だからわかるかどうかわからないけど。
@@ElricSowrd The black sword! I saw your handle and immediately made the association with "Elric's sword," the so-called "Stormbringer." Is there no connection? 🤔 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stormbringer I've just watched the video! Link is a bit perverted, wanting to stick his wiener somewhere… 😮 Who would have thought that, from a simple phrase, a comic idea would emerge! 😄 ^Ed
Contra Spirits which I first knew as "Contra 3: The Alien Wars" in the west was my first Contra experience.
Thanks for commenting! It was definitely a good start to the series! 😄👍 The Japanese translation of your comment was curious, because the word 欧米 (Ōbei) means "Europe and the United States", but it can also mean "the West". The game Contra III has this name in the United States, but in Europe it is called Super Probotector, meaning that the translation didn't quite match up, heheh! A silly detail! 😜 ^Ed
