I always loved that he includes “take the standing 8 count”. You don’t have to get back up immediately, you can take time to heal as long as you get back up
It was just another normal day for Ms.Bridget. Your average nextdoor neighbor and mysterious super spy. She was in the middle of doing her everyday supply rounds. Making sure her supply of gadgets are all accounted for. After 20 minutes of scanning, Bridget came to a surprising conclusion. 2 of her newest gadgets were missing. A pocket sized decryption computer and a pair of suction cup gloves. Bridget couldn't let anyone know they were missing, so she had to find them before anyone leaves. So Bridget begins to quietly and quickly sneak around her own hide out looking for any suspicious people. Eventually, she finds the missing equipment. She finds them inside of a woman's locker room. Locker #23. This locker was occupied by a new member of Bridget's inner circle. Carry Higg, a computer programmer. With that info in mind and her equipment safely back in her hand. She had to now confront Carry about the missing equipment.
Later that day, towards the end of the day. Carry walked back to her locker so she could leave. That day, Carry was wearing a chic tight aqua colored leotard with a pink waist belt and red high heels. When she got her things, Bridget stopped her in the door frame. Bridget: Hey Carry. Got a minute? Carry: oh hey Bridget. Sure what's up? Bridget: have you seen anyone strange walking around the warehouse today? Some experimental equipment has gone missing. Carry: Uh, no. I haven't seen anyone. Bridget: are you sure. This equipment is questionably dangerous. Carry: No I haven't seen either of them. Bridget: What do you mean you haven't seen either of them? Carry: um, What do you mean? Bridget just looked at her with a plain stare. So then Bridget, sprayed Carry in the face with a pink powder.
This is such a wonderfully powerful message in such a short amount of time so much so that when I was young I didn't grasp/appreciate it..Maybe I was just to naive or immature . Now older, wiser, and waaay more gray hair, this message does resonate on an entirely different level.
