Hey there! I'm Cara, and I make videos about money, media, and intentional living. My goal is to share accessible financial education while promoting minimalism, sustainability, and financial health.
This channel has had two "lives" of sorts. From 2013-2019, I inconsistently posted videos as a hobby while I was in school. These days, I'm focused more on video essays and educational content.

Never did, never will. Throwing money away in designer bags or clothes makes no sense for me. I always buy leather bags and shoes, but you don't need to spend tons of money for getting great quality items from non luxury brands. I would rather invest and put those funds to work hard for me, so in the future I don't have to work hard for money or worry about it.
Let me tell you as a SAHW it’s not a good idea in the long run unless you’re sacrificing to stay-at-home to raise the children as your HUSBAND IS BUILDING A BUSINESS that can be cash out on for retirement or pass down to the children. If this not the case and you don’t have a degree as back up your setting yourself up for failure once your kids are grown and have left the nest! The only one who would benefit from such situations will be him. Hell have his retirement will having you and the kids to take care of him .
I want the people who say a suburb is worse than the ghettos to actually live in the ghettos cause they would see how false that statement is. Like what the actual fudge
I got a Temu ad watching this video. Also, is there a word for agreeing with a person's thesis while completely disagreeing with all or most of their arguments?
You need to understand they do not control their money. Not because they dont know. But because they are part of a massive corporation which control their house their car their hollidays etc etc…. They dont have freedom on it. They accept it or they dont and in this case they just disapear out of the scene.
Honestly i cant blame the consumer, today's marketing is so effective, one moment im shopping for "x" and when i go check out i didnt even realized i added "y" to my cart, if yall wanna feel part of a group, just dont do it because a brand says so, been there, empty sense of belonging.
The only thing I’m spending 40000€ on without knowing what I’m getting or when I’m getting it is a KID. All other things if I pay, I expect to have a saying in what I’m getting.
What drives me crazy is that sometimes cleaning products and food REQUIRE you to keep them in their original container because light can interfere on the formula and make it less effective.
I like normal organizing not to an excessive amount but I don’t care for clutter or mess but unless these people have big families I know most of this is going in the trash because I’ve struggled with buying too much food that goes uneaten, I’ve been getting better at it but it’s still a slight struggle
The birkin bag gives lil old lady who likes to shop at the thrift stores, that’s how looks to me, like something your granny would carry, it’s probably one of the most unappealing most basic most boring bags I’ve ever seen and I wouldn’t want one even if it was given to me for free or I’d just sell it for some nice pocket change and yet it’s exclusive, exclusive for what? I swear people who are obsessed with designer/luxury everything are kinda pathetic and stupid, like do you see some of the things they pay luxury.designer prices for, like the Christian Dior tote, that literally looks cheap as hell and it’s not even cute, it just boggles the mind what people will pay for such things and for what, to show off? to say I’m better than the you, okay lol and don’t say it’s quality cause designer/luxury quality has gone down tremendously to the point knockoffs are being made better (hence why I think some people get their knickers in such a twist when people get knockoffs that look just as good if not better for a fraction of the cost of what they paid) like no thanks I’m good to luxury/designer goods cause their not what they use to be and the prices are absolutely outrageous, you got me all the way messed up if you think I’m paying thousands for a mediocre bag that’s decent quality not impeccable quality, mediocre smh, same can be said of a lot of name brand stuff too, it’s not always better so your girl is not about paying really high prices for anything cause the quality simply ain’t there anymore so it’s not worth it
As a heavy metal fan aka metalhead myself, i have gone to alot to of metal and alternative rock shows, which has been detrimental to my finances, after the world has gone back normality after COVID 19 lockdown, i don't go to many gigs like i did before COVID, there's more to life than the music scene, I'm still passionate about my music but i keep it within reason these days, i need to think twice before i buy a ticket, but there is a few bands I'll still buy a ticket in a heartbeat, but i have stopped going to shows just for the sake of it plus there's the costs of food, drinks and merch can be included, i wouldn't go to a Taylor Swift show 😎🤘
With how unfairly wealth is distributed, it's jarring how luxury brands are a so close, yet so far thing. You can go to malls and see their luxury outlets up close, but you know that you're unlikely to go in and purchase anything.
Stanley cups aren't even water bottles in the first place! Where'd you put it in a backpack? It's just an oversized cup. It's meant to hold liquid, not transport it.
I just realized the real reason I don’t like Friends is their perfect little life or at least what the show makes it seem like. The fact that they managed to survive despite it all. Not to mention they’re all white..
My husband and I have lived WAYYY beneath our means for years. Stayed at my "starter" house I bought when I was 24, bought our last two cars second hand, even my engagement ring was a $200 antique. This year, we bought each other one REALLY nice piece of jewelry for Mother's and Father's day. I was looking at some designer bags and realized they're not my style at all. My Breitling is something I can pass down to my daughter. My husband's gold chain and cross can be passed down to one of our boys. A purse? Dumb investment.
Honestly I'm trying to get ideas on we're to host baby shower for our third baby boy. Since my husband is going to get fixed this will be our last one and I want to do harry potter themed(did dumbo for our first, and mustaches for second one).and I live in PHX Az itll be too hot to do outside
Best thing i did in January this year? Deleteing instagram. I thankfully never had tiktok. I was worried about missing out with my friends nothing honestly changed there. Aside from making more effort to actually see each other in real life!
