He provided great details on the spirits used and ingredients... It all went south incredibly fast the moment he poured everything in the mixing glass which was already full of diluted ice and than disrespected every mixologist on planet Earth by shaking this lovely timeless classic and has the nerve to further cut corners by not even using any type of strainer 🥺😩💔... The fact that they posted this video shows the lack of due process and knowledge of using bar equipment.. Sorry but this is the reason (s) why "bartenders" have no respect for mixology, they are being taught the absolute worst way... Spirits, liqueurs, fresh ingredients are no longer important in most bars and are ruining the art of Mixology in every sense of the word

It’s too expensive- is there a generic brand or anything comparable?

There is an unopened bottle sitting on my counter right now. This formula was mostly based on an old alchemical manuscript called "The Elixir of Long Life" and was given as a gift to a small monastery in Vauvert in 1605 by an artillery marshal in Henry the IV's army. These monks were completely perplexed by the recipe and could not understand it, so it sat until 1737 when it landed in Grenoble where the apothecary there, Frere Jerome Maubec was able to comprehend the recipe and brew the first bottle. Cool stuff, and after enough of it each person is said to gain a unique effect specific to that individual.

Sounds like a great recipe, but the skills are horrifying,,, the drink looks disgusting... i would. Ever ever even consider paying for that foamy cloud drink, im not a professional bartender but im sure theres a way of stacking that drink properly

Yes, this is mainly for younger red wines. It will not remove the sediment from an older wine, It definitely improves the aroma and the flavor. Also great if you want to put on a bit of a show.

Sorry, but it is not true that every of the three monks knows one piece of the puzzle... Imagine one of them would die: the recipe would come to an end. Therefore two or three of the monks know the WHOLE recipe. Greetings

I recently had my first opportunity ever to taste Chartreuse liqueur, and it immediately reminded me of your famous Carlsbad Becherovka, which I already was familiar with! Now I love both of these two, and I couldn't even say which one I love more... As a sidenote, I also greatly love Smetana, Dvořák and Janáček! But that's probably because one great-grandfather of mine was from the Moravian town of Uničov.

Do not use this device if you have a bottle with sediment in it !! One of the two main reasons you use a decanter . He mentioned this is a young wine , so likely not to be any sediment
@nicholasspeissegger8188
@nicholasspeissegger8188 4 года назад
you can still remove the rubber thing on top and use it as a regular decanter with a candle to remove sediment

The wine is falling down with gravity. As the wine comes down into the decanter it is pushing the air up into the wine bottle. Therefore, the air is forced up ??
