Genelec was the first high-end speaker I heard in an untreated room, and I fell in love 15 years ago in Jamaica. I can't wait for the day I can buy a pair.
One of my 8020 DPM broke after 3.5 years. It didn't power anymore. My dealer sent it to Genelec and they could not tell whats broken. Genelec told me I needed a new circuit for almost the price of a whole new speaker. I requested the unrepaired speaker back. Unfortunately very unsatisfying, although I liked speakers.
Hi there! I assume the speaker was shipped from dealer to one of our distributors service, and not directly to Genelec. We would love to hear more from your experience, if you can send us e-mail to support@genelec.com and we can check if there is anything we can help with. We always aim to have repairing more cheaper than buying a new product.
I heard my first pair of Genelec monitors in the early 1990's here in Canada and had that sound in my head until I purchased 8330s and 8350s about 10 years ago. One day I will make a move to newer models, but whatever I move to will definitely be Genelec speakers.
I freaking love my 8340 apm, makes working so much faster and you can really rely on the sound. The bass is in another dimension vs competition. Truly.
For seven years i was so happy with my 8030c’s and sub……… now i am blown away with my 8331’s!……. What a piece of engineering! Its worth every penny and even more! Thanks Genelec for creating such perfect tools! And congratulations with all the achievements within all those years! Cheers
Yes you can, as long as these devices has audio input, such as 3.5mm. Genelec also has products that has more automatic calibration process, which we call Smart Active Monitor (SAM™). Both series products can be used in surround systems, such as in Dolby Atmos. Don't hesitate to contact us at support@genelec.com for any additional questions or reach out to your closest Genelec dealer or distributor: www.genelec.com/where-buy
The first Genelec I ever heard were 1031A way back in about 1997. I've used Genelec ever since. Now mixing through 8351B monitors with two 7350A subs. Very nice products. It'll be interesting to see what Genelec comes up with next.
Steve Jobs had a pair of 1029a’s on his desk, and I have a pair of 8010a’s on mine. Thank you for your commitment to quality, and congrats on a well-deserved anniversary.
Made to last, aluminium cabinets, you can get service after many many years of use, fast support, made in Finland. Always a good long-term investment. You can count on us.
Started with the 8040As, rocking 8050As now and there's not a single day where I''m not in awe of what these monitors are capable of. Happy 20 years to the 8000 Series!
20 years without new innovations, materials, algorythms, improvements ? Stuck in time ? Neuman just came out with new models with improved frequeny response and more..... what about genelec....? 🤷 for me, keepin' the 20 years old stuff without any improvements is no sign for good management and movin' forward....
started with a pair of 8030c’s 8 years ago now im lucky enough to own 8340s with w371s and im very thankful to have a monitoring setup like that. i love these speakers!
