I dont have garage to plug it in. Do you think it is still economical to own one? Maybe the regen braking would make a difference. I am thinking of trading in my Outlander 22 GT (Gas) for the PHEV version.
@@TheAutoNsiderdo you think the regen charging would make a difference? I drive in highway / city for 60km to and from my work. I am thinking that it would make a significant impact in recharging the battery.
@@hoyhoy1605 Regen braking will not fully recharge the battery. Besides, if you’re considering the PHEV to only save money on fuel, the MSRP price difference suggests that is a bad idea. The PHEV is significantly more expensive than the gas model, so you should just stick with what you have. By the time you factor in the depreciation loss of your current Outlander and the $10k + price difference, it would take you more than a decade to recoup that money if fuel savings.
Honestly even in comparison to the full size trucks the ridgeline doesn’t seem that small. I think the smooth drive makes it seem smaller than it actually is
The Ridgeline is the Goldilocks of pickups. Not too big, not too small but perfect for 99% of truck owners. Smooth, quiet, quick, competent, reliable. And let's be honest, nobody takes a $50k truck off road. That is left for the third owner when the truck is 10yrs old.
Putting 1600 pounds of load in the bed without taking the spare tire out first is not very smart...get a flat good luck getting that tire. And you didn't mention the emergency brake pedal that is placed where your left leg is....can dig into your leg.
Good point, but even if the spare was out, how would I install it with the load in the bed? I report on things that I find interesting or important and the emergency brake was of no concern to me. Thank you for watching.
It's hilarious to me how many people don't understand the value of a vehicle like this. Not everybody needs to tow a lot or haul a lot and not everybody wants to sacrifice comfort, price, MPG, and size.
With the average weight of a trailer at about 1,900 lbs, and a bag of quickcrete weighing in at about 90lbs per bag, we should be able to tow about 34 bags of concrete.
@@TheAutoNsider 34 X 90 lbs = 3060 lbs. But anyway, Quikrete comes in 60 lb or 80 lb bags. Also the 1.5 cu ft bags of mulch are 41 lbs each. 50 bags is over 2000 lbs. I know because I haul 50 bags in my wifes 2016 Honda Pilot. Sister vehicle of the Ridgeline. Sorry but I'm OCD about math.
Those ridgelines are super nice vehicles I'm a big Honda fan. I wound up buying the Toyota Tacoma but either is cool AF! Payload on my Tacoma TRD off-road is only 945 lb I had to add sumo springs now I can hold more weight or at least I feel comfortable holding more weight lol before I would add my trailer just a 5x10 enclosed trailer & it would sag, but not anymore
Good video man. I personally own a 2024 Trailsport and I love it. People say it's not a truck but I don't need anything over 5K pounds of towing so its perfect for me. Im glad you did the mulch test. Keep up the great videos.
Nice video! I could use a pallet of mulch in my yard, and this looks like the vehicle to have to get all the mulch I need in one trip while riding in style and comfort.
You know what? I am a regular viewer of your RU-vid Channel. I have seen all your videos and your content qualities are outstanding. I learned lots of things from you. Your channel has great quality content but still, it is not delivering its right audiences due to SEO problems. You should focus on your SEO so that you can build a big fanbase. Thanks.
Great review. Big time disappointed the NISMO version does not come in manual but so appreciative of the fact we do have this 400 HP Nissan Z in a manual. Just saw one on the freeway yesterday and it looks sweet! With this, the Supra, the GR 86/BRZ twins, the Mazda Miata, Mustang GT and even the outgoing Camaro and more available in manuals and on the market right now, it is easy to get spoiled and take all this 6 speed manual, RWD goodness for granted and this does not even cover the 6 speed manual FWD goodness we have in the Honda Civic Type R and the Acura Integra Type S. I take none of it for granted and hopefully I will be able to add a couple of these to the stable before they are gone. Keep up the great work. We all need to show car manufactures that there is a market for "affordable" enthusiast cars. Great driving dynamics should not be available only to expensive European performance car and super car owners.
Great review! I was all about the Palisade until I started researching online & saw issue after issue with Palisade owners. I LOVE the interior & even test drive the Palisade but just can’t pull the trigger on a Hyundai with the issues AND - too long of a story to share but I had a awful experience with a Hyundai rental where lucky for me I was near O’Hare so I could exchange it for a different rental. I saw the Toyota GH and now leaning towards getting that this summer - maybe waiting to see what the 2025 GH will have. Again, GREAT review.
I had a 350Z for years and loved that car. I was considering buying this car a few months ago. But, passed because of the dealer mark ups. Picked up a 2024 Camaro instead.
Do not agree on the not daily. Lots of reviews explaining the contrary (with the different modes and possibilities) I agree on the fact to treat this beast with respect and get, if possible, a second vehicle which is less demanding (fuel-maintenance-miles...) I am about to buy a new 2024 model. Will decide in a few days.(Europe here)
This Mitsubishi Outlander is so underrated it's one of the best in its class, not too many people know about it because they like to follow the crowd and go for Toyota or Honda but this thing is really amazing they're doing well in Canada. I see a lot of outlanders on the road I'm thinking about getting one as well I like the looks and the features it's a very good ride ♥️
Thinking about getting the 2023 model. drives terrific. Thanks for showing where to put sunglasses. We couldn’t figure out how to get the mirror to release and finally gave up thinking there must not be a place to put sunglasses! Also, so glad you mentioned the second row cupholders. That was one of the few disappointments as they are not Lexus quality.
Yes, it has a quiet interior, decent acceleration and it smooths out rough roads around Atlanta. The short wheel base limits its ability to truly compensate for the road, but it’s as good, of not better, than any other small SUV/crossovers in its class.
Let’s just say it’s not a touring SUV. My 16 didn’t complain about noise, but I never road back there. Thanks for the question though, because I think I’ll start including that in my SUV reviews moving forward.
Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 and great review ! My mum just purchased a 2024 Hyundai Venue to putt around in , my mother finds my Toyota 4Runner big for herself.
This why i have a hard time choosing the EV6 GT over the GV60. The GV60 interior is really nice and I don't drive around with the accelerator floored, so EV GT acceleration provides dininishing returns.
Great review, have had this beaut for 5 months now and wondering best way to ise charge mode on long road trips. Is it during a stopover to stretch-leaving the engine running or while travelling at over 90km/h?to ensure you have enough electroc juice when getting into towns.
Poised over rough roads, acceleration is pretty linear and seemed to have adequate power for acceleration. Not as quiet as the TX from Lexus, but I’d give it “near luxury”.
Very helpful video but the main reason why your videos are not getting views is because your videos are not SEO OPTIMIZED, if your videos are not SEO OPTIMIZED then your videos will not reach the desired people and your videos will not go viral because the main reason behind a video going viral is SEO...
