Share my track day's on my 2003 Ducati 749s , 2004 Ducati 999s, 2018 Yamaha R1M and my American Bulldogs videos. Am 62 and enjoying life. Just ordered my 2024 Ducati V4R from Munroe Motors in San Francisco as I enter my 1st year of full retirement at age 62. Looking forward to capturing fun memories at the track.
The TC is set to 4 (default 3) as I get used to Race mode A and doing a great job allowing grip on exit and longevity to the tyre. I am running Michelin Power Slick2 Medium compound on the rear and Michelin Power Performance Slick Medium in the front. Thanks for watching.
You were flying! Again, thank you for taking the time to coach me in the afternoon. I am the guy on a green Kawasaki ZX-4RR that was overshooting turn 7's entry. You are such an inspiration.
You are very welcome it was a pleasure to hopefully help you feel more comfortable on the track. Thank you for your kind words I appreciate you giving me the opportunity. ❤🤙 btw the front camera did not record but the rear camera did, and I will upload it soon for you. 😎
@@autojunkee Oh you are! I remember you hehe thanks for the offer to help me. I sure can if you like I can help you at the next FTD event since I am a VIP season pass holder I will be there if you can make it out there. September 16 or October 14 the last 2 events of 2024 that I have booked. 🤙
This is why I uploaded this video because the 1st person that made an inside pass on me at turn 5a was way too aggressive which is why he even waved at me as he passed. And I agree with you about the guy who went into the dirt which I can see he used the rear brake leaving a good tire skid. 😎
@@josel.sanchez2531 Thank you. Its good to understand its not easy for you sometimes but I really like how you care to teach in a constructive way. Much respect
@@alanrodriguez7341 Thank you so much for I appreciate you. Yes, I can't help myself and just love to help out the track day community even retired from FTD instructor staff. They know me and what goes around comes around. Thanks again for your kind words. 🥰
I been fine, thank you, Sheila has asked me about you and yes I have talked to Dave he riding to work now ;) Give them a ring. And how is retirement and you how are you? Hope to are well bro!
hey man....didn't time your laps, but looking at your top speeds on the straights and in some of the corners you are clicking off some good times...well done. Love it.
There was a red flag which I didn't see that the riders in front of me slowed down with out anyone giving warning off red flag, (warning like raising the arm to indicate slowing down.) I am OK will be back soon.
@@josel.sanchez2531 I hope you enjoy it as much as you can bro, always safe! Just keep doing the service strictly as the factory suggests and it will last for a long time! Keep grinding!!!!
The guy you were following posted this to the Performance Bagger" group....it somehow wound up in his feed....KILLER he got to see a lap with you behind him...
Hi there thanks for the info I got a DM from him on my FB and asked if I would send him the original video, so I shared it with him. Hopefully he is giving me the credit. 🤙
why did you collide with him? I had a similar incident couple weeks ago where someone (a z2 control rider believe it or not) slammed on the brakes mid corner-exit with no hand up or any warning. I got knocked out also lol. I have it on video too
No, this was the 11:40 AM session from Saturday the 8th it was my fastest lap of the weekend 🤙 I was still in the break-in mode. She is at the dealership now getting inspected.
Awesome video man. Thanks for sharing. You keep havin fun and keep that rider protection fresh! Track officials were right there, kudos for track days! Everybody is so important. Thank-you. Glad you did ok.
Thank you so much for I appreciate you. I am doing good and yes so happy to be in good hands . Might look scarey but it is still the safest way to have fun on our hobby 😃 Thanks for watching.
Sorry to have scared you with this video but it is just a reminder on how good the equiment we use at a track day or street really makes a difference. I remember everything until I landed on the ground. Yes my helmet got smashed on the back side of my head was the point of imapct, awesome helmet ❤
@@josel.sanchez2531 I corner work for a track day provider and seeing someone not move after a crash is the worst feeling. Super happy you’re good and for sure we have the best equipment out there!!
Since I have track fairings on I decided to drill a couple of holes on the front tank cover piece to securely mount the main unit of the camera. Camera and AiM SoloDL are mounted on an aliminum plate that mounts on the ingnition switch screws. I will add the link above for all to see.
Oh thank you very much for your input, I appriciate you. And thanks for watching, more to come on my next track day's will be on 6-08 & 09-'24 Thunderhill Raceway West track. 🤙👍
Yes, it's because I am in the redline so to speak since it is in the break-in period, and I was trying not to get into it for a long time. The bike ecu is wide open with the full exhaust upmap. I am going through all the gears and trying to be in a higher speed which is why I am in 6th gear or normally I would be taching the hell out of her. This is a break-in for me as well since she is non-op and this track day was my test ride to feel her out. 🤙
Thank you, brother, I appricaite you and you will get there just don't try to do it all at once, when I used to instruct for FTD I would always say take baby steps conquer 1 at a time and eventually you will become smooth because smooth = speed and if you try to go fast to start off with all your doing is fighting yourself then you become tired and stiff, be relaxed, breathe and focus on chosing the smooth lines so that you're not fighting.
I have not touched the gearing; it is because of the break-in period that I am riding it through all the gears and in order to stay at a faster pace I ride it in 6th gear up to 10k but I did see it peeking up to 11k because I was trying to stay discipline under 9k lol
Dang looks good. I just hate how they charge a grand to do the valves every so many miles. It’s hard to do your own work on these. Do you do your own work?
Thank you so much for I appreciate you. Awesome that your father still rides at age 69! Yes, I am 62 years old and thanks for your wish I hope it comes true
Thanks,Yes indeed I am 62 been riding since I was 10 starting with mini-bikes. And I can't find more pleasure than riding a superbike on race tracks. I plan on doing it as long as I am able ;)
It has a dry clutch and a vented clutch cover so the clutch dust can not build up and vent out the heat and sound of the clutch basket jingle from the clutch plates. I love that sound.
