Thank you. I spent the better part of a day looking at that from every concievable angle. Typed in serpentine. Waterpump...then i though keep it simple stupid ( KISS) my father calls it. and there was my answer
The only time you really need to tin wires is when its a single wire thats measuring a very low voltage. We tinned in tank capacitance wires for fuel control systems on cargo planes, they were mirco farad measurements so it was necessary.
That's a updated hose the old original ones the clamps were attached to the boot with something close to staples so you couldn't remove the clamp from the boot without tearing them
You know how many customers come to me and I find this same problem, either they use a cheaper/or different brand OR they use Ford OEM but they put it on backwards😅
@@wyomingmobilerepair haha right. I show the customer and they look at me like “how am I supposed to know” I say “no sir I don’t expect you to, I’m just showing you ford labels it for us” ………. *Crickets* 🥴
@prevail2983 My usual response there is that if they can't figure it out or even read the self-explanatory labels that maybe they should just call an adult. Some receive that better than others.
Even a k and n filter needs to be cleaned it even says on the box that you can clean and reuse it some people are very stupid they don’t believe in reading the instructions
I have a performance car running 30ib of boost thats a good coupler but the most Important thing is the clamps. I would use constant tension clamps that are vibration resistant.
Get in touch with Samco or SFS Hoses in the UK. If they dont have em on the shelf, if you're willing to either send one over or scan one, they will build a die/ jig / tooling for around and run them off for you. Maybe a sideline thing for you. (Or someone).
Hose clamps have worked well for years decades. And now the factory thinks that you just need a little groove of rubber inside the hose is gonna keep that on there all by itself. Did these engineers go to trump university.
@goldinator every manufacturer is doing it, ford chevy dodge etc. They are struggling to build enough parts for the new trucks so the old ones are being sacrificed.
Ok so its it was really important y dont you see it in racing or on semis its all about proprietary ford says it better people buy it just look around if it really made a big difference you will see it everywhere
@TheJacklikesvideos There are clamps that go on that, factory or aftermarket. With the addition of the grooves that help it seat and stay, it's a better and more reliable setup.
@@wyomingmobilerepair i did some restoration work with my uncle back when he was around, and this complaint sounded super familiar. so definitely a relatable headache to the gearheads.
@dakotathornburg4080 the metal ring is not putting any tension on it, it's used to apply pressure when the clamp is on. Don't remove it, if it's not in its groove when you re install the clamp it will ruin the tube.
I honestly enjoy working on those trucks. Then again 90 percent of my job was working on just those trucks from like 2010 to 15. Good ol power struggles
@johnnyblanton9448 I absolutely love them, I'm not here to say they are the best truck out there, but, for the money and with proper repair they can be darn good.
probly the same shop that did a rush job on my axle seals and drums in the back causing a huge leak in the right drum and missing chewed up parts on the left then on top of this improperly installed my e4od filter guess it's a good thing i noticed
No no no no no no no no no no no 9. I have a fuel filter in that spot on my 6 7. There is no possibility that anything is different than that. No way. Not ever. Nien.
