Excellent production!!! Outstanding singers and orchestra. High quality audio/video. But, in particular, want to single out the singers' enunciation of the German lyrics. Phenomenal!! I could understand every word, without subtitles (which unfortunately are lacking -- but you can't have everything.)
Wunderbare Interpretation! Einer der besten überhaupt nach Furtwängler (Akt I). Junge Musiker und Dirigent von Weltformat (Akt I). Akt 1 war absolute Spitze, Akt III etwas weniger gut.
They have more beautiful women in orchestras than in beauty contests and the female pianists Yuja Wang and others combined with the majestic music...well what can I say...simply heavenly!

Brings back many happy memories from my childhood. By the way, when is Emperor Ming going to show up? That certainly isn't him doing the directing, is it? He couldn't direct anything this good, he was mostly evil!
