America's insanity is directly related to it's poor public educational system. Average Americans have lost the ability of intellectual reason, along with basic knowledge of The Constitution and how the legislature functions within the Republic. The decline of a well educated people, along with education fallout is frightening. Robert Louis Stevenson was a best selling author of his day. Can you imagine this happening today? -E.g., over 95% of all Americans cannot add simple fractions, nor read at a 6th grade level. This includes politicians and people of influence. The traditional Civics Course, formally required of ALL American secondary schools no longer exists! I was High School Teacher (Computer Science and Calculus -AP) in the 1980s. I taught at one of the four top public ( i.e, private) schools in America. I also briefly helped out at the NYC School System. -Much like the "public" traditional schools in England, my students represented less than 1% of all American secondary students. I should have taught at an American public school. And I tried, but the system and pay was prohibitive. By c. 1990, when I entered Wall St. private banking, I discovered that the many years of under funding the American public education system (i.e., similar to council schools in England), had finally produced an under-educated, dangerously ignorant society. The intellectual level of the average American had dramatically, plummeted. After MANY year of extremely poor funding of American public schools, the chickens had come home to roost. nation that has lost the facility of basic logic, self reason, the ability to read at a 6th grade level, basic science education, accurate knowledge of the American legal system, and the Constitution will soon succumb to any dangerous demagogue and/or charlatan who WILL gain dictatorial control of America. American is dropping to third world status despite the illusion of wealth America maintains. America no longer has a manufacturing base of any sort. "Made in America" is NOT a phrase you are likely to read anytime soon. Such an economically and intellectual bereft country can only slide into a new type of third world mire. And slide, America is presently doing. America has become the greatest governmental tragedy in since the demise of democracy in 1920s Weimar Germany. North Korean and Russian hacking, terrorism, the proliferation of desperate third world countries, terrour nation-states, such as Iran, Afghanistan, Korea, Russia ; -all with nuclear ability, Global warming,... COMBINED with the thorough demise of America make the Earth an endangered planet. Try not to worry about a few AM radio chat programme morons. They have influence, only with the already intellectually deranged. You have lived a great life, worthy significant pride. You are a Jazz Treasure. In England, you would probably be Knighted. YOU are one of my top 5 or 6 favourite Jazz bass players, -alas, your songwriting endears you to me more than than anything. I own ALL your records. I must come clean. I was once a professional POP musician in a successful band (back in the late 1970s through though 1989. However, I play Jazz. I started at 5 years old, on piano. I could not take a piano to university (in 1977 - no digital pianos). Oddly, I had no desire to study music as I had already been studying music since I was 5 years old! At 10, I discovered physics and electronics, built a few pirate radio stations (not so easy for a penniless 12 year old with only 1968 technology. But, I succeed, and ended up creating a high school radio station,... that my teachers did not know was not, um, exactly LEGALLY licensed. -a minor detail. I made it FM, on the non comercial bands. -we were at , around 91 mHz. I made sure the the students who performed the programmes thought it was a legal station, Circa 1972, normal people were ignorant about the FCC, hence my task was easy. The teachers were proud that our "10 Watt station" sounded so good and covered more area than the other school radio stations. We even had minor newspaper write-ups! This told me that the FCC had no interest. I relaxed. We followed the legals specs and did not interfere with legal stations. Legal stations thought that we were a normal 10 watt educational FM station. But, um, er, uh, I was sending 40 watts input to a multi-bay aerial system that provided 3.5 db gain (i.e., we radiated 80 watts ERP!), Our proud aerial was at the highest point in the city (FM is line of sight) , thus, we sounded like many high powered stations. Eventuality, we had a phone with enthusiastic young callers! If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck.... It is NOT a duck? Yeps. All the duck need do is walk The Walk. I treasure your records and would be delighted to have your autograph on my records. Alas, I am now crippled (I fell at the WTC) and have moved from Manahattan, so I do not hold much hope. I also knew The Judge, but he did NOT make my phone ring! As I was playing guitar and had always been a better piano player, plus, I was in a POP band, the Judge did not take me too seriously. If I have a favourite bass player is is Wellman Braud or Jimmy Blanton. And then YOU. Why? Because YOU are a GREAT SONGWRITER. Something I worked very hard at..,. "Grady's in an Earthquake..." Another company is coming out with a pill containing meat. Instead of swallowing the pill with water, you have to chew and chew and chew until it goes down. Then you have to drink lots and lots of water.
And if you figure how much the Balance of Nature company is spending on incessant commercials, the markup on the pills must be tremendous. And you can't find out how much the pills cost on their website... they tell you everything else, but you have to sign up to get the price.
