You should do more content of places around Rochester & upstate NY. There are lots of people like me who grew up there and kinda miss the place to some degree. Seabreeze was great. I remember the big carousel fire in 1994, it was sad to see that go. I also miss Vic & Irv's, it used to be next to Bill Grey's. When I lived there, I always went to Vic & Irv's. sad,a lot of good restaurants are gone now. But the parks will always be there! You should do something on Durand & Charlotte. A Letchworth video would be nice too. Lots of nice place around there. Some good museums too.
OMG, this makes me so homesick. Almost makes me cry. I grew up in the east half of Monroe county, Brighton class of '88, I spent my teen years riding my bike miles and miles along that canal. I moved away in '94, and I have regretted it ever since. I lived supposed 'nice' places, southern California and the pacific nw now, but honestly, i prefer the definitive seasons of upstate ny, and the forests of the northeast over the forests of the nw. In my opinion, NY has much better trails and hiking than Oregon, Oregon is too wild and inaccessible because of that. And PNW cities .... ugh... that's all I can say. And the parks around Rochester are amazing!!! I miss them all so much!!! All I really think about now is how can I move back home to the Rochester area. As the old slogan from the 70's & 80's used to go... "I'd rather be in Rochester, It's got it!"..... I used to mock how cheesy it was when I was a kid, but now in my 50's and deeply home sick, it echos in my memories every day now.
