👋 About Me 👋
I started college in 2021 and originally had my eyes set on becoming a doctor. I quickly realized that wasn't for me, so I started studying business and finance while working sales jobs during the summer. After selling Pest Control and a working a finance related internship, I decided to look into becoming a pilot. After a couple flights I was hooked and decided that making money while flying jets doesn't sound too bad!

I decided to create this channel to document my journey towards becoming an airline pilot, help others on their journey, and provide aviation content in general.

Susbcribe!

@@FlyWithLukeD I’m just messing with you…. Trying to throw some comment activity. I will say however, there’s really no usable information over the nose when you’re in a climb. Go back and watch it. Ask yourself “what am I looking at and why”? Is it for alignment? Trying to maintain runway heading? Traffic? Your best visual references are to the side. Practice and repetition make permanent. If you don’t break the habit now, you’ll take it right into your instrument flying. I promise, you’ll take off into a low ceiling and pitch your head up out of muscle memory and bam, you’re spatially disoriented. Just ask yourself what exactly you’re looking for that you can’t get from less head movement and a better cross check… my .2 cents.

@@johnledford134 my only experience flying it is in Utah and Texas mainly and it is decent. With two people in the plane we can get up to 13-14k. But if you have more than that and baggage and fuel and takeoff in the middle of a hot summer day then performance is prettty bad

Weather, density altitude, and even mission can easily make mountain flying maneuvering flight where horizontal space can be more limited than vertical space. This may require steep turns to miss terrain. I liked your steep base to final well enough and since you allowed the nose to go down, it was near 1 g and comfortable for passengers. Canyon turns coming back from up valleys can also be safe and comfortable if you release back pressure in the turn for a 1 g load regardless of bank angle. If cruise airspeed will make the radius uncomfortable, pitch up wings level before the turn and then release back pressure in the turn. This energy management (Wolfgang's law of the roller coaster) safety turn should be default in the maneuvering flight of horizontal space limitations. Pretty country. My sister's husband was at Hill when I was teaching at Tohatchi, NM on the res.
