@@yuzu_singer yes!!!! That’s Kyle-! It was so fun to play music with him!!!! Are you now living in NYC?!?! Traveling so much, yeah?!?! I would like to meet you someday!
Thank you! Yes, we have many shinobue players in the group :) Three of us are taking online lessons from Yasukazu KANO, who is a renowned shinobue player. Please check him out on RU-vid. He is a super, super good shinobue player!
Fun show! It was awesome to see and it was fun to have outside this time for a change. They should do more shows out there I think. Trying to learn this one still!
@@KotoriJapaneseMusic Yes, I remember that well. Incredible how it came to be. Loved seeing all the different members in the ensemble and the youth as well.
I never knew this was online. I keep trying to find lessons in person but there are only shakuhachi lessons. I really like the sound of the shinobue. I bought a 6 hon flute.
Hi, I self taught shinobue for 10+ years and now I’m leaning online from Yasukazu KANO sensei once in a while. He is great shinobue player and he has some online tutorial, which is very informative. I recommend watching them!!!
Hi, I didn’t do the 3d part, and I don’t have the info. But, I brought back some clips from Japan. If you are in the U.S., I can mail one to you for reference.
Wow! Fantastic Bonus! It made me feel like I was in your session! I learned alot!!! Great students and teacher. Arigato Gozaimasu Kotori Kai Shamisen School! 🤟😼
I think we sound great! looking forward to the show. I see though in videos that I still need to work on my wrist motion with my bachi. I feel like I'm doing it correctly at the time, but clearly I am not. I'll need to record myself playing more often. 😂
This is a fantastic performance. First time I have seen and heard a traditional Japanese composition with true classical jazz drumming accompaniment. Excellent!! 😃
This is a great composition - a very expressive and complex Shinobue piece. 😅 The video does a fantastic job of panning back and forth from performance to tutorial. Well done!
