Our names are Matt & Nick and we're all about catfishing! Join us as we scour the Kansas and Missouri rivers searching for the river monsters that lie beneath.
It was fun because even though we were going to be going after some monsters, the weather didn't agree and I'm glad because I needed a trip where we had consistent bites and fish being pulled in. He's a great guy and fun to get along with
He really was knowledgeable and fun to go out with. He didn't tell me to say all those nice things about him haha.. But, it's nice sometimes just get out especially when your boat's down and have a good time!
Some guy was nice enough to upload the videos from VHS to RU-vid and I went over those. They were over 45 years old but still worked. It's very detailed and definitely what I needed. I appreciate him putting them up haha!!
Seen and used bluegill works great never ever have I seen someone fish for catfish with a whole bass or carp I mean what works I just personally wouldn’t use a bass I only catch and release bass even though they taste so good
I understand where you are coming from, but flathead catfish and blue catfish love eating bass, crappie, bluegill, sunfish, carp, Asian carp. Asian carp is actually one of the most popular baits on the river right now to use. I know that some people don't understand or think it might be clickbait, but the reality is, that all of those fish I mentioned are getting eaten by large catfish every single day whether they're on my hook or in the water that they live in. Thanks for the comment and I hope you have a great year of fishing!!
Oh... and i "liked" and subscribed! 😊 Excellent work! Actually, the best, most useful and "user friendly" work I have found to date, after much research on this very topic.
I'm not sure if I would do that just because it seems like I'd be playing with an animal on a hook. It might be funny LOL.. But I'm just trying to catch a large monster catfish, and that's the kind of bait they like.
Mine is more of a question than a comment. May, I ask where you or Matt got the connections to your bait tank? I'm trying to build one and I'm having problems finding adapters to reduce the drain on the tote.
I am not home until tomorrow. If you have Facebook, can you message me on there at catfish kc and I might have an old video or tomorrow when I get home I'll show you exactly what I purchased. Anyway to help.
I believe you're asking where this spot is once you park? I was carrying a lot so I decided to take the gravel road that is at an angle down and then go to your rights towards the bridge and there's an opening when you get closer to the river and that is right next to the bridge where this log jam is
Or if it's parking. You'll pull up and the bridge is right in front of you. You can park there or there's a levee road that is gravel on the left side that you can pull in and park . Unless someone wants to get through on the levee road then you would have to move your car
yeah it was that dry cracked dirt that looks like it should be fine and then you sink like three and a half feet into it. I can only imagine how muddy the bank is right next to the river. I should have gone the barefoot route
OMG! I’m having my morning coffee getting ready for work. Lol out here in my living room while wife and kids are asleep. I guess he thought you were cute!😂. Nice fish, take care!
😂😂... Thanks. And yeah that was my first guess about what happened too. No other fish I have caught has actually done something about how they feel about me until now. Haha.. Have a good work week!
I know man... I usually don't bring a net bank fishing.... But when you're at a dam that is wide open and it's hard to get too close in the water, fast current lol.. I definitely should have brought it I felt stupid 😂😆😆.. But I did bring it on this last trip so I learneddded
I'm assuming you're talking about Anthony. I really look up to that dude and he's a real one. One of the best out there on the rivers too!!! Sorry.. Just shouting out a good guy 😂
Seems like karma. Met you in person today and said "Good morning," with your response "eh, hey." Then as we launched our kayaks and headed down river you had to blatantly rush past us to take up sandbar we were heading for.
I'm currently cast netting at Olathe Lake with my son who's 5. Just got out of church around noon. Hope you guys have a good day fishing and I hope to meet this guy that looks like me. This isn't the first time somebody has said that.
What boat ramp is that at the beginning/intro of the video? There are some houses you can see as your going down the boat ramp to launch. Looks like the boat ramp is in a neighborhood. Thanks!
Hey good luck with it! I really like the fact that it's a medium heavy rod and the tip is pretty light so you definitely can enjoy bass fishing with it. I would say you won't get as much tip action as you would with a lighter rod but you can fish for a variety of fish with the Whisker Seeker rod as well and still have a good time!
what rig do you recommend to use for fishing the kansas/missouri river i run the 3 way rig right now and i seen to always get snagged is the carolina or santee cooper rig more ideal?
It depends where you are at and the current. I usually have a Carolina rig and Santee Cooper going and maybe a three-way rig on one. In some of my spots I might notice the three-way rig sometimes gets wrapped up like crazy and in the very fast current it might not be the best. I know guys that use it all the time everywhere.. For me if I reel in the 3 way and it's all wrapped around itself, I'll just go Carolina or Santee Cooper
@@CatfishKC sounds good man i appreciate it i’ve ran into the same problems with it being all wrapped up im gonna try the santee on one and carolina on one i appreciate it!!
😂😆 All I know is somebody gave me something at the gas station and then I realized 3 days later I was still there fishing haha.. Nahhh I don't mess around with anything like that for real but I was there way too long and I was super tired but kept getting energy whenever a fish would bite.
Thanks.!! I appreciate it. I use DaVinci Resolve for editing. I've started recording the least amount possible so that I have less footage to go through. I go through all my footage and try and come up with some sort of storyline that makes sense, sometimes it doesn't LOL so I'll have to show myself and explain what's going on. Whenever I do voice over I'm typically sitting at my computer with my camera just recording my voice and then I take out the video portion.
@@PressureFishingTv Looks pretty good so far. You'll start to get the hang of it and if you have some questions here and there don't hesitate to reach out.!!
I need to find my good gloves. That would've helped a lot. Bringing a huge net bank fishing seems inconvenient but, if I was gonna fish the dam again, I might bring it.
Thanks man. I really can't afford to lose a $300+ pole setup. I got lucky. I wouldn't have made a little video out of that spot.. but when I lost the rod and then got it and then fell, I had to. 😂
what's funny is I don't feel anything but the gash in my hand. I think it shocked me more than anything haha. I'm glad I can share it and make people 😁
Well as long as you have a RU-vid account and a cell phone, then you can make a RU-vid video. if you wanted to do fishing you might get a stand or holder for your phone while you're filming
Fishing is the Devil. Lol glad you got your rod back and was able to practice your stop drop and roll technique. This is what memories are made of and you got it on camera. We’ve all had our share of incidents while fishing. Hang in there and keep the videos coming.
Glad you are ok. We all make mistakes. Years ago while walleye fishing at spillway at hillsdale when they were dumping water people would lose fishing poles. I was taught take a catfish rod witha big treble hook and heavy weight. I dont know how many poles we saved people by doing that
