they really do just need to return to form, think theyve really lost the plot with the current boss design and mechanics in midden ring.. heres hoping they take more pages from their one true masterpiece
2:45 The Abyss-a gaping chasm stretching down into the depths of the earth, filled with mysterious creatures and relics from a time long past. How did it come to be? What lies at the bottom? Countless brave individuals, known as Divers, have sought to solve these mysteries of the Abyss, fearlessly descending into its darkest realms. The best and bravest of the Divers, the White Whistles, are hailed as legends by those who remain on the surface. Riko, daughter of the missing White Whistle Lyza the Annihilator, aspires to become like her mother and explore the furthest reaches of the Abyss. However, just a novice Red Whistle herself, she is only permitted to roam its most upper layer. Even so, Riko has a chance encounter with a mysterious robot with the appearance of an ordinary young boy. She comes to name him Reg, and he has no recollection of the events preceding his discovery. Certain that the technology to create Reg must come from deep within the Abyss, the two decide to venture forth into the chasm to recover his memories and see the bottom of the great pit with their own eyes. However, they know not of the harsh reality that is the true existence of the Abyss.
2:45 The Abyss is a realm of Dark born from the Dark Soul or its fragments. It's an ecosystem capable of creating life, as generated by one of the core components of the First Flame, and of expanding while slowly absorbing everything in its path; it is uninhabitable to all beings aligned with Fire including the Gods, as they require special equipment or protection to prevent corruption (both in the spiritual and physical sense). In contrast, any beings aligned with or indifferent to the Abyss (such as Humans) are able to roam it with no risk of harm or corruption. Knight Artorias famously traversed New Londo's Abyss and hunted the Darkwraiths therein. He was protected by the power of a magical ring, which he gained after making a covenant with the beasts there. The ring prevented him from being swallowed by the void, but it led to his sword becoming cursed. In recognition of his actions, he was awarded one of Anor Londo's treasures, a Silver Pendant that allowed him to repel Dark sorceries; eventually he traveled to Oolacile to combat the threat of Manus, the "Primeval Man" / "Father of the Abyss". He ultimately failed in his mission, and in saving his wolf companion Sif during the flee, he was overtaken by the dark.

As the Void Realm, it is one of the three realms in the world of Teyvat, alongside the Human Realm and the Light Realm. While the Human Realm and Light Realms are capable of adjusting to accommodate each other's existences, the Void Realm is devastating to both. 2. A mysterious region of endless darkness located both beyond and beneath Teyvat, described as an entirely different world from Teyvat. 3. An entity, apparently the will of the Abyss itself gave Chlothar Alberich the power of the Abyss, which he used to create the Abyss Order with the goal of overturning Celestia and ravaging Teyvat, and is addressed by the Kitsune Saiguu during her death. 4. Creatures that are endemic to the Abyss, such as Riftwolves.
