Love it...its not part of their job description..but they make people anxious and cranky slightly comfortable for 0 cost and give them all a better experience
I love these comic preflight briefings. I wish we had the like of them on British Airlines. The only time I''ve met humour like this was on an RAF C-130. We all laughed when we were told that anyone beneath the centre section of the wing would get wet if encountered rain during the flight. It was true though because the centren section leaked. We also got a surprise when the Loadmaster climbed up on the rail over the middle seats with an adjustable spanner and commenced tightening the nut on one of the hydraulic rams.
I flew WestJet back in 2004 and they were goofy back then... they did boarding call by sock color and the lead FA referred to the 3 other FAs as his ex-wife, current wife & mistress!
These are always fun to watch or when you have great flight attendents on your flight, however I've seen so many of these videos from different airlines and they are all the exact same.
She's seen reading what she's saying. She stumbles while doing so. These scripted jokes are used by other airlines as well. I've heard exactly the same on Southwest etc. Nothing spontaneous at all.
I guess they all got it from one video which was the source of this routine. Not sure who was the first doing it, but I've seen videos about flight attendents doing this fluently.
Shes only repeating what was said by another flight attenden't unless that flight attenden't repeated it from another flight attendent or some one else
Yes. Also notice the one talking is seen bent over and obviously reading scripted material. She stumbles while doing so. These same jokes are used on other airlines as well. Nothing spontaneous at all.
These arrogant flight attendant clowns should be fired. If you made a comment or joke they didn't like, they would kick you off the plane in a heartbeat, but we have to put up with these idiot jokers?
My first I was so nervous I didn’t hear a thing. They forgot to tell the ride would be bumpy air turbulence and the plane dropped. Me having a stomach that cramps funny I was like Oeps! A bit to loud and had a part of the plane laughing so hard! My flight to Barcelona from Belgium was funny alright. And a husband that doesn’t speak any other languages than Dutch was hard for him to explain to our neighbor lol. So I said never flown before and it makes my stomach ticklish. In the end it was like woep.. Olé😂 it made my experience funny.
RUDE much?? If you had to repeat this every day on your job, it may lose its humorous tone now n then to SOME people, but plenty of others like it. So to each their own buddy. 😕 Just glad you won't be my seatmate as you sound like a real bundle of fun yourself. NOT... 😒
So we got the USA and Canada doing funny safety briefings, then down here in New Zealand we got really cool and maybe funny safety vids...like "The Most Epic Safety Video Ever Made"... I like that one...

To everyone saying there copying maty Cobb a lot of flight attendants do this just cause Marty is the most popular doesn't mean others do it Although I will admit this is pretty close to hers
They were all taught the same thing to make boring instructions seem more interesting...some just put their own spin on it. But they learned it in training by the parent company, Southwest.
I think the most important reason to do a flight safety demonstration like this is because people will be much more likely to pay attention to the safety instructions. ✈️💞
