Let's stop working OUT and start working IN. lunae is movement for your cycle. Period.
You are not the same every day of the month-the way you exercise shouldn’t be either.
Menstruating women can experience up to a 25% variance in brain chemistry over the course of a single hormone cycle. And it doesn’t have to be a burden-it's a superpower. If you have a period, you get to be a new person every day. So why not move in a way that celebrates your cyclical nature?
When you work out in alignment with your hormones, exercise starts to feel like self-care. Your workouts replenish energy instead of depleting resources. Rest days become a part of your daily practice with equal value to your all-out sweat sessions. And spoiler alert, when you allow time for recovery you come back stronger.
That’s why I created lunae. To meet you where you are each day of the month with movement that just feels good. Drop into alignment with your physiology to show up the way you want to in the world.
I love your attitude in this situation. WOW. I am so prone to getting frustrated and discouraged....I love that you embraced the break and still came back and finished it. #workoutgoals
I totally understand that! And at the same time, muscle is magic so I love that you’re finding a way to keep lifting to support your goals. Thank you for being here. 😘😘😘
Hi, love. After several years of practice now, I usually stick to the same frequency (3-5) strength days but with lower intensity and discretion around mood/energy…swapping to yoga or rest practice as needed. What is your ideal luteal frequency?
@@lunaecollective Hi :) Thank you. That's helpful to hear I'm listening in more each day but the old habits of pushing hard kick in for fear of losing muscle gains. I know in my body that the lower weight and higher reps etc... feels good though. Excited to keep learning/listening. Hope you're enjoying the transition to summer!
I am absolutely blown away by your knowledge and excellent teaching skills 😮😊❤ 💯💕 I truly hope your brilliant videos reach million of viewers. As they should 👏🎉✨️ I love love love your approach and soothing voice ❤
Woke up with my hips and lower back hurting. Pulled up RU-vid to do a saved workout and your video popped up before I even got into my playlist. I am SO glad! This was excellent. I appreciate your clear instructions and reminders to really feel into the body. I will be integrating this into my normal routine. Oh and my L back and hip pain is gone!
Hi Dawn! I’m so glad this format lands well for you! Are you looking specifically for core work? If so , here is another similar practice to check out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r94ZtC58zR4.htmlsi=q1SgWw1rIKdlzNhV
This workout is FABULOUS! I thought I was pretty stable through my core, but I couldn't even do ONE of the bear-knee-taps. Is there a regression of that exercise to help me build up?
Thank you for checking it out! And yes, absolutely…you can start in a table top position for the knee taps, but be sure to move slowly and focus on shortening the distance between hips and low ribs as you do! You can then progress to simply lifting opposite hand/knee to hover off the ground for a moment (rather than crossing the body). Please let me know if that helps! ♥️
Awesome, thank you! I did the arm/leg luteal strength challenge videos a few days before (and in conjunction with the new moon so I was a little too depleted 😂) this helped to repair. 🎉
Are you cycling with the moon right now? 🌙 Or did your natural cycle align this month? Either way, I’m glad this practice supported your repair sequence!
Well done, dear!! This one is an oldie, but goodie. Thank you for bearing with me while I was (and am) still learning how to make higher qualities videos. 😂
I'm 7 months postpartum and boy my upper back has lost strength with nursing and such. This was great! I've been a yoga/kettlebell instructor for a long time but I need to be guided right now and this is such a blessing. Thank you.
It is such a privilege to be a part of your movement journey! I remember very clearly those days in early motherhood where the new cognitive load, albeit temporary, can be all consuming. I am so glad that you've found in lunae the movement guidance you need for these cherished days and months. Thank YOU for being here.
Hi! Just starting BBC and on the menstrual rest day. This was a really great practice. As a beginner in yoga it would be nice to have more options for alternative poses or use of blocks as partway through I could barely make it through any of the poses and could have had more guidance on how to modify. It was still great to have time dedicated to listening to my body and finding where I need more focus on stretching and letting go! Thanks you
Thank you SO much for this feedback and I will be sure to integrate more entry-level options and guidance in future yoga practices. I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and I'm sure other women have felt the same way. In the meantime, here are a few more beginner-friendly yoga practices to explore: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u1LJIA-S30Y.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qaL2sgGknxU.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M8awWeZVm7Y.html
I can't believe this channel is not a staple for all women. I tell so many people about you and about cycle syncing in general because it has changed so much for me. I didnt get periods for MOST of my adult life and 9 DAYS after following your workouts and another app I use, I got my period on the full moon. It is such a relief to know why I feel so exhausted and bloated and "meh" at this time of the cycle. And its like I forget every month. So THANK YOU for using your gift of knowledge, explanation and fitness to help so many of us.
A woman after my own heart! I feel the exact same way and how cosmically cool that your period arrived on the full moon. Perhaps your body just needed a little permission. I so appreciate your referrals as well...it's what makes this a collective of cyclical women who move by the moon!
