In May 1943 the Allied Forces determined a new type of leader was required to win World War II. Operation Jedburgh parachuted three-man teams deep behind enemy lines to win no matter the challenge. Jedburghs lived by the mantra “how you prepare today, determines success tomorrow.” Today’s leaders are no different.
The Jedburgh Podcast empowers leaders to achieve success by transforming themselves and their organizations. Creator, Host and Special Forces Green Beret Fran Racioppi interviews the world’s most prominent visionaries, drivers of change, and those dedicated to winning.
The Jedburgh Podcast is an Official Program of The Green Beret Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to supporting America's U.S. Army Special Forces and their families. Since its inception, the foundation has invested over $15 million in support of the Special Forces community, providing aid to more than 13,000 families with 87% of every dollar going directly to programs and services.
It should be remembered that the US with its British proxy stopped the EU from developing its own armed forces and is now sucker punching Europe at the first sign of conflict since WW2. I am loathe to criticise the US given its extraordinary sacrifices and huge goodwill over the decades but it's a bit much to hear complaints about European failures when they have gone missing in Ukraine for months at untold cost to that brave country. How much would you say that kind of support is worth? I can tell you- Europeans have paid far too much for it because it's worth nothing. Since the setting up of Nato the US has doubled its GDP compared to the EU. Something in this world is favouring the US position but these Trumpists are still not happy
Waste of lives. US should never have been in WWII. FDR forced Japan to attack Pearl Harbor because he is a globalist who helped Stalin take Eastern Europe
Sounds like a good thing. You can have the report, after the action, not before, in whatever form it is delivered. The endless cacophony of veterans saying that they could have done better if it weren't for "big army" stopping them from executing. That might actually come to an end. Could you imagine a force, that is the best of the best, just let out to do the right thing at the right time, with the information they have?
There is NO reason for the US to even be involved in the war in Ukraine…and no legal justification either:Ukraine is not in NATO.. And it was only because the US was spending billions already to try to expand NATO that this war ever even happened.
The staff dont know how to deligate decision making authority to subordinate officers and NCOs chief. How many SOTF, TSOC and COCOM staff officers or NCOs are actually Special Forces qualified and have performed the mission; or have deployed in an austere environment? Did you know the SOCAF surgeon is a hospital administrator? Not even a doctor. As of June 2024. Its not a tactical level soldiers job to advise the fucking command. Its the commands job to give its tactical units a mission and support. The disparity between unqualified TSOC level staffers and AOB/ODA NCOs isnt a matter of technical knowledge. Its a matter of doctrinal philosophy and risk assessment. The TSOCs are tyranically coddling the men. Nobody needs an O-5 telling them they cant live without while blood products on the shelf. Box checkers. The no risk command climate is a failure. The CYA command climate is unnacceptable. Bunch of micromanaging unqualified mother fuckers. This is not an 18X problem, this is a strategic leadership problem. If the leadership doesnt like the program then cancel the program. Stop baiting young men into a carreer field where they are givin everything but a purpose. Stop sending men to places you are afraid to send them. Strategic leadership problem. DOL
It is incredible what that generation accomplished I just wonder do we have any men between the ages of 17 and 25 who are willing to do that today I don't know
That’s the big question right now. Every generation has said that about the next generation and we have always come through. But how long will that last is the question.
I fought against United States Special Forces in Iraq 🇮🇶. United States Special Forces are Soft Targets. I am Professional Expert Regular Infantry is Far Superior to United States Special Forces.
I was nearly shot by an off the street guy in my platoon in Iraq 2009. Too bad his mouth was as big as his bite. The army of course swept it under the rug
Well maybe the people who are in the Army should meet the standard and stop being outperformed. That’s the real issue. The people who perform will eventually gain experience and understand “the army” and all It’s bullshit.
They are like high tier working dogs . Yes they are amazing and can do good things , but sometimes some of them will snap for what seems like no reason. There is no way to tell which dogs can perform at a high level and not ever snap. Unless scientists can find a genetic link or something like that you will never be able to sniff out the good operators who will have behavior problems later
Thank you to all the veterans for protecting our freedom I am not great with wording stuff but this the best I can word it as I appreciate the ones who served to protect us and others thank you all for those who served and are serving
My roommate in the 2nd Ranger Bn, Stanley Wood, was E5 when he went to become a helicopter pilot. Flew Blackhawks in Mogadishu, flew exclusively for SF, served with SOAR, and retired as a CWO5. He was known as National Asset Number One. He wore his Ranger tab. He was in the class behind mine which was 10-79. He's a great guy.
How is this even a question?…f ing dumb It’s no one’s business the who, how, what, where, and why of what our military does. If it went back to that, it would probably go back to better.
