Just discovered this channel and I love it! I need friends to play BOTC with but Ill live that life by watching you all. Started watching cause of daddy Ben stayed because of you all!
Evil started the game in advantageous position and still managed to lose by making every possible mistake. - playing along with lunatic is fun but very risky, it's better to deny evil status altogether and just let lunatic know they are the useless character who can't do any harm to evil at this point. - Po should charge when there are 3 good players left, let town execute a minion next day and win the game next night. Even better play - coordinate kill with assassin and charge with 4 good players left - several voting mistakes from the evil side, but Milk's one got to be fatal
Pacifist there's a reason to have it trigger every day, in a specific scenario, on custom scripts. Here's the situation: There's a Lleech on the script, and players keep executing the same good player.
I finally found this podcast again, but it would seem that I'm too late. I would've used the RK ping on the claimed empath, because they were the demon in one of my two worlds, and I wanted to rule that out.
Good to hear Hungry immediately realised what Sean did when he chose to stay Kazali and had the EXACT SAME reaction I did XD Edit: same night, why didn't they ask Christine if she wanted to stay the same Minion? coulda become the Poisoner, since her ability was done, or would choosing that have prevented the Mez turn in the same night?
They ran Hatter as the first thing to happen in the night order, so as you mentioned, the Mez-turn hadn't gone through, yet. That's why Christine chose to stay as the Mez. If she had picked Poisoner, Blind would have stayed good. The only real missed opportunity of the Hatter-event, was that Sean should have upgraded to the Imp or Vortox.
Day 1 Evil Pixie Cannibal: No Cannibal food, let's kill [my Demon] Hungry, the Minion: whoever this BH is [it's your cerenovus'd Demon], I wanna kill theeeeem! Lovely to see an evil team so eager to lose on day 1!
1:10:47 This one made me said. Pit-Hag can do so many cool things. But she shoulda known that either a) her turning Justin into the Goon worked and the ability was now in play or b) it didn't work the first time BECAUSE hungry or Christine already are the Goon, so it won't work now either...
56:11 That is a really fun interpretation of Butler, but yeah, insisting it's in any sense "correct" is nonsense. The Butler just says you can't vote if your Master doesn't, it never tells you that you have to vote on anything.
Carley and Ben in a game, what a treat! They are both amaizing. As a personal bonus its a first time i managed to solve a game of botc, i have never played a game myself.
I was wondering all game why Kim never spoke up. Spoilers ... ... ... ... Apparently somehow she didn't realize that her ability solved the twins. This is why you share your information. Cause others may not miss what you do. She's still not sharing her full information on the round robin.
The game probably would have been more successfull for the evil team if JP had just stuck to the plan, but there is no way it could have been any BETTER. This was such a beautiful clusterfuck. I do understand possibly being frustrated by how much it derailed though. And I do hope Arif learned something about claiming Twins if he isn't... buuut... y'know. Maybe I better hope he didn't.
I think that rule (in a Barber swap, the demon can't swap _another_ demon) is there because it can result in 2 living evil demons. Imagine a Fang Gu jumps to an outsider (and thus dies) and then the Barber dies later. The new Fang Gu could target the old Fang Gu and a minion with the Barber swap, resulting in 2 living evil demons and no arbitrary death night to deal with them.
Bunni is so annoying in this game. She seems like a lovely person but this was a terrible first impression for me, as this was my first ECG video I've ever seen. If I was in Carley's position I would've threatened to throw the game if she wasn't straight with me when Bunni claimed Imp, it was just that frustrating
Umm. Shouldn't you talk to your ping first as a dreamer? If they say they're the thing, you can just believe them. They have a 1/3 chance to get it right.
So I don't think Samantha broke harpy madness on the penultimate day. She did vote her ping in the end and got him lynched even (the only reason for that to go through was the evil team knowing they could rely on her to vote there as she would be breaking madness if she didn't). Also, I'm impressed by how she navigated all that madness through the game.
So I don't think the philo General is very believable. There were two General claims going around so why would a good player do that. Also, I'm not sure why they would do that even if they had no idea, It doesn't seem like a strong role. Also, they could go Librarian and Noble without any risk, and going Fisherman or Seamstress could work too (although that does require communication).
Gave the Savant two false statements on D2. I guess neither Ben nor Steven and not even the chat realized that "both are not X" doesn't mean "at least one of them is not X", it means "both are not(X)", or in other words, neither of them are "X.
I love how everyone came to the same horrible, horrible realization about the cere-goblin interaction possibly dooming them one after the other. It seems like something no sane ST should be doing, but I love the horrific implication. The terror it inspired was funny.
38:10 A reminder to be very clear about what you mean when you say this type of statement. "The Cerenovus is closer to the Evil Twin than the Fang Gu" can be interpreted as "The Cere is closer to the Evil Twin than [it is to] the Fang Gu", or "The Cere is closer to the Evil Twin than the Fang Gu [is]". In this grim, the first interpretation is true, since the Cere is 1 space from the Twin and 2 spaces from the Fang Gu, but the second is false, since the Cere is 1 space from the Twin and Fang Gu is also 1 space from the Twin.
Oh, right. He never said only six alive, so teeeechnically he could have meant at least or something. Didn't even occur to me, because that's not how it's usually used.
If I had to guess Steve already had these recorded in a batch during stream nights (there is probably a handful of games per session) and part of making content with ECG is that he has the rights to the content. More than likely he has a backlog of games to upload.
@@TheDersitePhantom you should refer to the recent Zombuul game for more info and theories. Basically there was huge accusations against Steve for misogyny and transphobia after demoting moderators. This led to ECG completely dissolving and most went to Grim Scenarios.
I don't see anything like that in the comments of "when to kill your own", just well wishes and comments about the game itself. May have been removed by ECG@@Zilong09
I don’t see any (reasonable) way evil could have failed to win the triple kill, given the order the Po chose: Tea Lady, Innkeeper, Sailor. ST would obviously leverage all drunkenness in evil’s favour, so Sailor is never helping good. If Innkeeper picks herself (and any 2nd choice), she’s out. Evil kills all 3 and win. If Innkeeper picks Sailor and Po, Tea Lady dies first, then Innkeeper is unprotected and dies, and then Sailor is unprotected and dies. Evil wins. If Innkeeper protects Tea Lady (and either Sailor or Po), Tea Lady survives but is drunk. Then Innkeeper dies. This undrunkens the Tea Lady, but now the Tea Lady’s alive neighbour is the Po, so the Sailor is unprotected and dies. 2 players remain alive (Tea Lady and Po), so evil wins.
Still rooting for the day The Lost and Tony get separate tokens. I think the error message at the end, that the game was too short to be recorded, was the funniest part. :)
Good game and a real treat to see one pop up when it sounded like there would be no more. Great to see The Lost and Jack (and Monika who I have not seen before) get a win. I was hoping at the end for a poisoned Mayor attempt so Jack got that final satisfying poisoning lol but great game in any case. 👍👍👍
@@garnet970it's been two weeks since the last game was posted to RU-vid, they probably assumed (like me) that that video was Steve's last. Not all of us use twitch or discord or whatever else
ECG does not release videos in chronological order. That said, the decision to keep posting despite the events that transpired seems odd to say the least.
