Besides free speech, the (OUR) constitution also speaks of the “right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”. There is no logical reason for Emory University to block this universal right to its students and a few students that were visiting from a neighboring traditional black university. I see the prohibition against assembly and the calling in of police as blasphemy against the principles of the free intercourse of ideas (hypocritically) espoused by universities such as Emory. Shame on them.
