This one finnaly work , after one year or how long this game is i can finnaly play with some1 . But take care , if u dissable this one , MP in other games , for me its SM2 , dont work , so u have to check it once more . And thanks
They don't really spook far away though, at least that hasn't been my experience. I'll test it sometime in the near future but I doubt anything that isn't either within 60m or having an arrow land near it is spooking. An arrows flight/landing isn't a quiet thing, nor is the snap of the bow string. If animals opposite the direction of the shot are spooking 100+m away then I get it. But, bow hunting doesn't need to have any advantages, bow hunting exists as a way to challenge yourself and to become a better hunter because of it, not an easy way to slaughter a herd in rapid succession. The DLC? For some reason WotH DLC prices just do the same as CAD as USD. It was just $4.99+ tax CAD for me. Same with the Kawasaki DLC had CAD the same as USD. So Canadian's get a deal 😄
I don’t know if you still check these comments. But regarding the straight lines on the energy graph, this signifies that the bullet is being acted on by a constant force. This is very over simplified as to what happens in real life. Basically: the game models the bullet subject to a constant frictional force inside the animal (kinetic friction) this type of force is not velocity dependent. They’ve just coded the hitbox to have a certain frictional value most likely. The proof of this constant force condition involves newtons 2nd law as well as the work energy theorem. But Is understandable to a layman. What actually happens inside the animal is more of a fluid drag scenario which is much more complicated. Here, the force DECREASES as the bullet slows inside the animal. And due to some equations that relate kinetic energy this would produce the curved shape you’d expect where the “steepness” decreased towards the right of the screen! But it’s much easier to model the solid friction.
@@bumblewoot correct. IRL we would see that quadratic shape and the nonlinear cavity profile would be what you would expect. But this is all an inexact science IRL considering this energy transfer is all dictated by bullet design/expansion characteristics. The game has opted for the simple “draw a volume, give it a shape function, base it on impact energy (i think lol) and distribute 52% of the impact energy to this cone” If you tried to apply that model to real life then I bet it’s closer to 70-80% cavity damage. But I think they’ve done an alright job, they probably never thought people would science their game like this, but us nerds exist😂
glad to catch the replay. for me i just didnt like seeing the apex as a recurve. all the really strong xbows i can think of rl that are top end are compound. the constrictor front end is all u see hunting and looks good to me, since u cant see the stock. scope, other than reticle alignment, looks good and is what im used to actually using. it is funny that at least new xbow has damage types opposite of all older archery, so 90% cavity damage, where older archery all had 90% pene
Im hoping the new hunting game that is coming out will be a bang to other companies wallets. In turn it should make them buckle down and deliver better content. Just like palworld. And Nintendo getting scummy.

Jumped back into KC:D myself when the Sequel was announced and it´s one of the most immersive games I´ve ever played, which I can get completely lost in for hours and hours.
They shouldn't of added ammo changes. I still play it. But its nearly like call of the wild now. I liked taking down animals quickly. Especially! When I hit them in the head. Mostly now the bullet doesn't even make the animal bleed even by shooting it in the head.
I have hit the spots you recommended and it should drop them. But with the latest updates it has messed up a lot of the game mechanics. Shooting a bear in the face with buck shot should stun lock him and fall to the ground. And the bear gets back up and chases. A couple more shots with bug and it shouldn't be moving. Seen a video of a bear get buckshot to the face. Pellets basically. I have even seen videos of people hunting with air powered rifles that quickly kill a animal.
Damn, missed this one. Yeah, the discord is quiet now. Seen multiple mentions of people leaving out of sheer frustration, both on Reddit and RU-vid. The game's reputation is in trouble. Communication has been thrown out the window. The community has been abandoned.
Love the song,lost the motivation to play. The energy is still the same after the patch,long range shots are out of the window. The support team sucks. They can keep their stupid dlcs. They have lost a player for good.

Was on sale with all DLCs for like 3 dollars ( Royal edition) I bought it years ago full price and I am going to do my 4th playtrough but this time round on hatdcore mode. Check it out. Is a hidden gem and the sequel is coming out on 11th February. Green Hell is another good game,difficult at the beginning but it hooked me up and did a harcore playtrough with permadeath . I still farm tigers on COTW to get rares and I am waiting for Assassins Creed Shadows, releases 15th November.
I've been noticing that I get hits and I'm almost sure it was a good shot, then the animal just "survived". So I guessed that I must have missed, only to wind up shooting the same animal days later and discovering that the shot was perfect, penetrated the vitals, but inexplicably didn't kill the animal. My last play I got an mule deer and discovered that I had got a lung hit on two separate occasions with a .300 Win Mag, exactly where I was aiming. So the animal was walking around with two punctured lungs, one of them lengthwise, and then ran 300 meters with two punctured lungs (which it had apparently just walked off) and a severed brachial artery. What are these deer made of? Terminator deer are killing the fun for me. Sadly, I've uninstalled. I don't mind tracking a deer, even very far, but this mulie was just walking around with two fatal injuries and one crippling injury for days BEFORE I fired the shot that killed him.
So let me get this straight: they added a level of realism by giving different varieties of ammunition (a change that as soon as I found out happened 2 days ago I instantly reinstalled the game) and then tried to remove the realism by nerfing the ammo types? Why? The main reason I play Way of the Hunter over COTW is its realism both ballistically and in animal behavior. I CANNOT STAND COTW's joke of BB guns masquerading as hunting rifles. The fact you cannot shoot a Roe deer with a .243 from 200 yards and expect it to penetrate skin is a poor joke in bad taste. Ive said it before and Ill say it again, ALL firearms are deadly in real life. The Inuit drop Polar bear with .223, and hill folk have provided generations of children venison with 22 LR. Is it ethical? Not necessarily, but is it REALISTIC absolutely yes. If you put a hot loaded 30-06 with a barnes tsx into the broad side of a whitetail at 600 yards you will ABSOLUTELY get a double lung passthrough if you do your part. The trend of game developers wanting to put guns in "categories" by using artificial governors on power is ridiculous. In real life, you can absolutely drop a moose at close range with a .243, why NOT display this in game? The excuse of "but then guns are too similar and there is no reason to use one or another" makes it mirror real life. There is a reason shot placement is king and caliber wars are the stuff of internet legend while having dubious practical value. Be brave developers and own that reality, and you will have customers like myself for life.
Remember when I asked if they had this game for the Xbox? The time asked they released it a couple days after. Now if they could released driver 3 that would be cool. But my best bet is getting out the ps2
Late to the party but I just reinstalled. Use a 30-06 irl so I main it in game, for everything from whitetail to bear. The only thing I could figure was that the Barnes rounds are meant to annihilate the first lung slightly better than the polymer tip. Less pen for higher bleed rate. Has anyone tested for whether fps allows for better penetration? The 150 grain is lighter and less cavitation, but I wonder if you get more pass through because of the extra speed
@bumblewoot playing around with the different weights, and it could be anecdotal, but it seems that for the 30-06 specificly, the standard round is the best middle ground between penetration and rapid expansion. The Barnes hollow point is rapid expansion above all else. The 150 grain has less penetration than the standard round, and less cavitation than the Barnes round, but it expands later inside the chest cavity. It seems like it's the games attempt at bullet weight retention and rate of expansion. The weights of the bullets seem to matter less than the actual type of bullet, apart from energy down range. That might also be why the 300 mag soft point performs better than the standard option
Hay im a newish player and finding out that the ammo is nerfed is odd to me i think the rounds perform quite good at least on the rifles shotguns under perform with the 12g slugs at ranges over 100yds nothin crazy but at least 150yds should down a whitetail or muley love this game though so so satisfying downing big horns at 600+ cant wait for the future of this game
People are reading into the ammo change way too much. its just cosmetic to collect a big pile of cash. I don't get what all the commotion is about? Just use what ever ammo you want it doesnt matter at all.
The ammo selection can change the tier of the rifle and also change tier over distance. This is not cosmetic. Also players like the ammo to perform like they would expect it to irl
the ammo change idea in general was a massive waste of development resources. Nerfing the ammo was a huge backstep too. Glad to hear they are putting it back to how it used to be. The rifles were already underpowered on the penetration abilities from their real life versions before the nerf.
@@bumblewoot so if its not noticeable than why do you see a massive size difference in where the bullet may make impact? Im not following you on this one. Im referring to using rifles such as the Remington model 700 long range .300. The rifle that has a black synthetic stock and a stainless steel barrel. Please do explain. Or maybe its a bug that has not been addressed. But either way a Remington model 700 in .300 win mag can shoot under 1” groups at 300 yards in real life. So why not make it true to life instead of giving the styer weapons a massive boost in accuracy when it comes to where the bullet will land? Im all ears.
@@mattwoods8381 the round Hunter sense dot isn't actually the area of the groupings. When testing actual accuracy we don't use the hs dot and just measure the actual groupings before the bullet holes disappear. The Hunter sense dot size is misleading. But the Steyr weapons still have a tighter grouping
@@bumblewoot i must have missed something somewhere then…. So why is it when shooting longer ranges or with a stout wind does the hunter sense dot move? Isant the dot there to inform you on bullet drop and windage corrections? Now im puzzled..
I thought it was specifically there to show you where the bullet is going to make impact. With the .300 win mag by Remington, the dot will literally start at the spine of the deer/elk or what have you…. Then the dot will not end until about the bottom of the belly. Scratching my head again.. ha
The ammo change is what brought me back after a break and the reduction in power of the rounds was a huge disappointment. Its both not-fun and not-realistic so it confuses me why they went with it. Playing on the beta has been so enjoyable since they put it up. I hope they make most of the ammo cost money, it seems so odd having one arbitrary round be free and unlimited.
I would think that overall genetic potential increases if you remove majority of does. I won't compare this to real life, but I think in game the males will "mate" with one female. So, take away the chances for the low fitness males to mate at all. Since the high fitness male will win the chance to mate with the 1 remaining female.
