Last Feb I flew from Germany to Atlanta and watched my first Nascar race in person. If you never been to a race you cannot imagine how loud they are. In qualifying one Truck alone on the track let the whole grandstand vibrate. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OOmaol_OVFQ.html&ab_channel=ThomasKrebs I come back in Sep for more races...
Heading there Thursday night for the first time. Can’t wait! We’re camping in the infield and I was wondering if we could pick up the race over the open air waves? Instead of renting those radios if we could just use our regular radio headsets??
Dude they literally hit 209 mph at Michigan 2 years ago. They qualify going 199 mph into the corners, and go way over 200 during the race due to draft 670 hp
I find it fantastic to watch those cars racing around 190 mph! In Italy, I'm Italian, really scoffed by the Italians as something silly that anyone can drive this way. Of course it is not true at all because you need hell of experience to drive it for a long time and are even faster then formula one racing cars!!
So cool. Would love to just stand next to the gate and experience that. No cares who wins. Just love the sounds and visuals. I'd sign any waiver to be in a car for a few laps also.
I did not. When I showed up, there was already a pretty large crowd at the red carpet, so I didn't bother since I wouldn't be able to get close enough for a picture or autograph. I just waited by the driver intro stage. If you get there early enough and have a front row spot, getting an autograph is definitely possible.
I love the sound of the next GEN cars in person I was at the Daytona, Summer race in 2023 and the cars sounded absolutely awesome when they were all racing together
My seats used to be all the way dwn 1st row going into turn 1 it was cool for awhile but after awhile it gets old u full of rubber etc etc its cool for a lap or 2 but after that its way way to much
No. This is an additional charge. When you book through the LOT website, there is an option to add lounge access in Warsaw. It was $30 per person at the time of filming. You will not have lounge access if you do not select this option.
Premium Economy offers more leg room, wider seat, and a little more of an upscale food menu. That's pretty much it. If these aren't really a priority for you, then I'd say pick Economy, especially with that price difference. For me personally, Premium Economy is worth it solely for the leg room since I am very tall. I flew LOT Economy in 2018 and I did not have a good experience since the passenger in front of me was basically in my lap since I'm 6'5". It was the longest 9 hours of my life lol
I was looking at getting a pre-race pass for this year’s race in a few weeks, do you think it’s worth the $50? I’m not so worried about getting close to drivers, but more of getting cool views of the cars up close and stuff like that
I don't know if they will change things for 2023, but there was a lot less access to pit road than years prior. The cars were parked towards the end of pit road, and fans were not allowed to walk in that part of pit road. So there was no way to see the cars up close. We were only allowed to walk the front half of pit road and the front stretch to sign the start/finish line and watch driver intros. Access has become a lot more restricted since the pandemic. Personally, I was disappointed and will not be purchasing the pre race pass for next month's race. But again, they might change things for this year so who knows...
Hello there! I was just curious if you remember how early you got to the pre race pass area for intros etc. Was it easy to get right to the drivers like you were?
They opened the pit area about 3 hours before driver introductions. We got there right when it opened and took our spot by the driver introduction walkway. Within 20 minutes the walkway was surrounded by people waiting. So if you want a front row view, you gotta get there early and be ready to camp out for a few hours. Getting there is easy. Use the underground pedestrian tunnel. Once you get back to the surface, turn right and head towards the pit gate and then just follow the crowd to the front stretch.
