He is quite antiwar on the surface of it at least. He seems to like his big projects that can’t really work out - think what his talents could have done with a more worthwhile issue than Brexit.
@DrMatthewAlford Well there is my pay rise, pre brexit £10.66 p/h, post brexit £15.37 p/h. This with far better shift patterns, working 7/14 days. Add to that I usually finish 2 hours early, but still get paid the full shift. HGV driving is once again an industry worth getting into.
I have written several books and academic articles about war propaganda, which connotes me with some expertise and originality. If you have a substantial point or question, I'd be happy to discuss.
@@DrMatthewAlford So being an expert on propaganda makes you an expert on the Middle East? Doesn’t sound like an Academic mode of reasoning. Furthermore, drawing a comparison between the UK and Israel based on a one-way transactions related to arms suggests limited understanding of the relationship between both countries, not least because arms deals themselves seldom function along the lines of “Reputational hazard”. You don’t honestly believe Israel’s priorities rest with reputation at this point? You seem like a nice enough chap - but if 28% of your entire race had been exterminated by fascists by 1944, and a neighboring state appointed an alternate set of fascists with the same goal in 2005, your priorities would deviate from risking reputation damage too. “War Crimes” would be the product of a “War” no? So the UK commit war crimes when bombing NAZI germany?
@@liberatemi9642 Thanks for your reply, liberatemi. I am not an expert on the Middle East and don't claim to be. My academic work gives me some credibility to assess what is happening, just as I am sure your background lends you such credence. I don't quite get your point about reputation. My video was a short observation highlighting how states justify violence in part through saying that they themselves are "at risk" of a crime, as though they're powerless to stop themselves from breaking the law. I get the context - the 28% figure is interesting; hadn't heard that before. I understand that Hamas might be equated with fascists but surely their capabilities, alliances, circumstances, enemies, etc etc mean they're in no position to repeat the horrors of the 1940s. Israel is in a better position to create such Biblical outcomes - as I understand it, Netanyahu's plan is to make Gaza uninhabitable, raze every building, and therefore leave two million people in tents. There must surely be a more constructive endgame than that, as even members of the war cabinet seem to acknowledge, but the current PM is determined to peddle even further down the River Styx and expand to war in Lebanon. There are plenty of moderate Israelis, maybe you included, who would probably agree with me on most things about this situation. One of them is that Netanyahu is not working in the interests of Israel itself - including its survival - and needs to go. On your other point, I think the US and UK did commit war crimes when bombing the fascists. Nagasaki, Dresden were sure to qualify. We can understand it, forgive it. I suspect I might well have made the same decisions at the time. But that doesn't make them right, legal, or worthy of silence.
@@liberatemi9642I suspect I would have become desensitised to civilian suffering after years of carnage. I would not have known about deceptions by my government. I would have been a product of my time.
Or you could talk about the Conviction of the ORANGE Turd for election interference in 2016 making him an illegitimate president and his judicial appointments null and void. Biden is way sharper than you.
If Israel wanted to destroy Gaza 'from the beginning' then I'm surprised it didn't destroy it in 2005 when Israel pulled out. The Gazan population had been growing up until last year's attacks by Hamas.
Egypt has a bigger fence then Israel Why is that? Any reason why Egypt won't open its borders to help the Palestine citizens ? There is a good reason why Egypt won't help ? your the guy who knows everything
You tell me, I'd be interested to hear your view on it. I am certainly not claiming to know everything about the Israel/ Palestinian issue. I have a claim to being an expert in the broader relationship between conflict and the media. My message in the recent videos on this is that a diplomatic solution, which begins with isolating Netanyahu, is preferable to Netanyahu's apparent plans to make the whole strip uninhabitable. I think this is a very mainstream and reasonable opinion that seeks stability for everyone involved.
I love your idiotic accent. however, I agree with you and condemn all the losers who falsely claimed that gaza was an "open-air insane asylum" before October 7.
