It’s a horrible technique. I tried it for about a week. It completely smushed transients. If you have kicks/snares that are short, fast and tight, they become squashed and pillowy. This chain completely transforms and changes the character and behavior of the mix. Mixbus should thicken, enhance and slightly glue but not in such a heavy handed way. Part of me actually thinks he was trolling people with this one, but I heard him tell the story of how it came to be.
