I'm from St. Paul, MN USA and have played music since childhood using guitars, lutes and other related instruments. I was a dentist for 32 years and kept playing during that time because I love music. There's something magical in music and I almost always feel better after playing. Since retiring from dentistry 12 years ago I've been able to concentrate on recording albums and RU-vid videos. This is simply the most creative thing I can do at this point in my life. Genres that I currently cover and arrange are classical and popular guitar, renaissance and baroque lute, Irish and latin, video game music, Chinese and ukulele, solo jazz guitar, Beatles and lots of Bach. My other channel Daniel Estrem - Topic has 831 videos I love to share the songs and I hope you like the arrangements. My performances are strictly virtual these days. Best Wishes, Daniel Estrem
Thank you very much for your musical activity!!!! I always look forward to your new unforgettable releases!!!!! Your music has long become an integral part of the soundtrack of my life. Thank you very much!!!!
Hi Daniel. I love this version. You have a wonderful touch. I wanted to work on this tune for a while but hadn't found a good chord melody version that resonated with me. I could probably put most of your version together by ear and viewing, but for the final touches, I'd really be grateful if you could provide a score. Happy with standard notation as I do some reading but need more practice with it to get anywhere close to sight reading. Any chance you could send me a copy via. email? I'd be happy to pay for it, of course. Thanks, Steve.
Hi Steven...I stopped sending out scores a few years ago and I'd have to search my messy library which would take some time, then scan the score. As I recall the notes are relatively straightforward and easy to decipher at a slower speed.
Im sorry this might not be the first time someone asked you this. Do you per chance have the score? My girlfriend gave me a 7c lute for my birthday and she's a big skyrim fan. I would love to surprise her by playing this. EDIT: i scrolled further into the comments and saw its only pencil scribblings. Ill use my trusty ear and chord sheet. Thank you so much for putting such an amazing performance.
Sorry I don't have a score that's all tidied-up. If I recall correctly I put it into guitar notation (3rd course up a step) which seems to work fine using guitar chords. best wishes for you and your new lute...what a great birthday present!
That's okay. I'm an experienced guitar player (not classical), so I have a trained ear, and I have a pdf with chords. I can use my chords to find the base and then my ear for the melody. Thank you for your inspiration
Lovely arrangement and playing, Mr. Bluedeer. My partner and I love watching your videos and this song, as it is for many, is special to us. Many thanks and have a wonderful evening :)
When I hear you play the lute the warmth in my loins only grows ever stronger. In the youtube world landscape I know we may never truly be together but in this brief digital moment of serenity I feel truly happy. If only we could be together forever your lute would make my cheeks watery with the flow of my eyes. This youtube street may be but brief moment of our journies but in that moment, we are together and in love dan. Thank you from Brazil. 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
