The fact the owner would like to keep the rust and scratches was a surprisingly philosophical refresher for me. Cars are really a representation of ourselves. Like this Panda, we might be a little scratched up and rusty, but we're happy as long as we serve a purpose and take care of ourselves :) Greetings from Ukraine! We don't have many Pandas, but we've had Lanos as a true "people's car", coincidentally also designed by Giugiaro.
I am from Italy. I owned 7 Fiat Pandas, currently i own 2 Panda, and other 3 cars. Still today, among all the car i ever owned, It is the best car i ever owned, specially with 1100cc multipoint engine, it is quite fast (160-170 km/h top speed and good acceleration too) and it has a very good fuel economy (also the 899cc it is cheap on fuel too). I also owned a diesel version (1300cc) that was marvelous in fuel consumption (in excess of 30 km per liter, and it could run with waste vegetable oil and diesel mix). It never let me down, it is simple and cheap to repair (you can do by yourself), it is good to drive for our crappy roads, and it fun to drive. It is not the best car in the world, but i like it very much. The design was simple (made by italian designer Giugiaro) because it was meant to be cheap to build and to sell. It was the "peoples" car back in the 80/90/00s, it was the real "new 500" , very appreciated by the italian customers and very well sold until its last production year (2003). Italian people nowadays seems to not appreciate that simplicity anymore and this car ended up mocked and scrapped even in very good condition for no reason. Many people are regrets they choice to sold or scrap the Panda. They are currently skyrocketing into the used car marketplace, specially the 4x4 version (loved by the car thiefs also!), where you can find a lot of custom parts made in Italy to customize your Panda 4x4 by your needs. The 4x4 is still very much appreciated because of its lightness, and versatility (it can go everywhere!) even compared to modern 4x4 vehicles (in many terrains Panda 4x4 is still the car to beat), because the drivetrain was made by the austrian company Puch, and featured a fully lockable lsd, deactivable 4wd transmission, and "free" rear transmission (it comes as optional) when you need to drive on the road, to save on fuel consumption. It is much appreciate by the thiefs, the animal hunters, the farmers, and many other "categories" at work. Right now i'm building my 1993 Fiat Panda 1000cc to the "Van" version, and i'm very happy and satisfied with the car. It is a joy to work on this car! You people in Japan are very lucky, your Pandas comes with air conditioning (yes, you read that right) and it was available with automatic transmission (also in Italy), which i discourage to buy for its transmission weakness, prone to broke, and the difficulty to get new spare parts for it. Other than that, Japan was the second market for selling numbers of this car. About 4.5 million of Fiat Panda were made between 1980 and 2003.
Grazie per aver guardato/commentato! Sono molto felice di ricevere messaggi da tutto il mondo attraverso questo video. E grazie per il tuo commento sorprendentemente lungo. Sarei felice se potessi intervistarti un giorno!
Wow, Seiki-san is so lucky to find this rate car and colour for his first car. This car is so rate that the price has gone insane in other countries too. Looking at the car I believe it's been setup to perform drift as can see from the front tyre's camber is tilted outwards slightly. My neighbour also has a white-body "Hatchi-Roku" and his parts are almost all bought from Japan. Truly an amazing car with room to appreciate more on market value in the future!! Thanks again for another great episode~
Thank you for watching and commenting in a row! We are surprised and happy as Japanese to know that the value of the Hachiroku is increasing all over the world. We hope that your friend's Hachiroku will be completed soon!
Obrigado por assistir/comentar! Nunca esperei que os uniformes do Bahia chamassem tanta atenção. Obrigado do fundo do meu coração do outro lado do mundo!
Came across your channel today and immediately subscribed! I love this type of content with interviewing owner and their cars of their love. It's really amazing to see a young 30-year old lady to choose this as her first car over over many other modern cars, truly amazing! It really shows the character of each owner's taste of their own choice. We can feel her love to that car and hope she can keep her for a long time. My family used to have many FIATs like the 124, 125, 127, 131 and also Alfa Romeo GTV2000. Looking at this Panda brings back lots of good memory of them. Thank you for creating this channel and would like to see more car culture in Japan soon. - Love from Malaysia.
Obrigado por assistir/comentar! Foi um prazer compartilhar com vocês as memórias da Malásia. Planejamos entrevistar muitos proprietários e seus carros atraentes com o máximo de detalhes possível, portanto, aguardem ansiosamente!
Thanks for watching and comment! Surprisingly, old and beautiful Fiats are also on the roads in Japan. I would like to go to Italy someday, and please come to Japan!
I am a big fan of the Panda, but the Selecta she's driving is known for its DREADFUL CVT transmission (with cones and belts), it just feels horrible, like driving a 50cc scooter.
Thanks for watching and comment! Thank you for your detailed research. Surprisingly, there are many left-hand drive cars in Japan. No legal restrictions. You can be happy with the many options!
Grateful to have discovered your channel with the FIAT Panda video. I plan to binge watch all the videos. 6K subscriptions as of July 2024, but I think your channel will grow big! I like the content and the format! Adding the English subtitles allows the audience outside Japan to enjoy the vids as well.
Thanks for watching and comment! I hope you will try out other videos. As you said, we don't have many subscribers, but we will steadily upload videos that express the individuality of the performers. Your comments have become our treasures!
Thanks for watching and comment! We are grateful to the algorithm for sending the video to Mr. Garcia. It's wonderful that there is a car that is just right for each owner!
I love how she keeps the Panda in great mechanical shape, very well kept car! I also love that she upgraded the headlights to LED. Those old bulb headlights are borderline dangerous at night.
Thanks for watching and comment! This is the result of facing cars head on and searching for the best solution at this time. Let's all enjoy a safe and fun car hobby!
I just learned the other day that there were no left hand drive Twingos built at all, so a switch would take a lot of commitment from Mao. But I love her Panda as well. Kinda looks like a tiny sibling of my Mercedes W124 wagon to me.
@@boys_and_wheels_tv_ Oh I am so sorry, that was my mistake. 😅 You are absolutely right, left hand drive cars exist. I wanted to say I learned that there were no first generation Twingos built for the British or Japanese market. So that would make them right hand drive. Anyhow - I love your videos. Looking forward for more.
Obrigado por assistir e comentar! Nunca esperávamos receber comentários sobre as camisas do Bahia do outro lado do mundo. Obrigado do fundo do meu coração!
Thanks for watching and comment! Not at all. Autobianchi has a timeless appeal in its character and design, making it easy for car enthusiasts to get close to and love!
Obrigado por assistir do outro lado do mundo. A Fiat é popular no Brasil? Conte-nos também sobre a cultura automobilística lá! Eu gostaria de ir para lá algum dia.
Thanks for watching and comment! He is currently working on restoring 86 to the original. Thank you for watching with English subtitles, all videos have subtitles so please enjoy my other videos!
