Welcome to my channel - my name is Alaina - I am a mother of 4 from Dunedin NZ who loves all things crafting - at this stage my videos will be mostly about my journey with Resin :)
I was glad to see your kiln opening. I know it has been a sad time for you all. 😢Everything looks wonderful! Your scraffitto is amazing!!! ❤. Have a great week, my friend 😊

Oh dear I don’t know where my comment went lol thanks so much - I hope you have a wonderful week too and thank you so much for watching 🥰💕 I really appreciate it
@@laneyscraftingcreations431I believe the legend of the Rainbow Bridge where our beloved companions wait for us, and send us new friends. Everything came out of the kiln beautifully.
Oh yes I forget about firing them together 🙈 although once I glaze them I won’t be able to glaze them together because then it’ll be stuck forever haha thanks for watching 🥰
Oh Laney ❤. Thank you so much for telling others about us. I absolutely love your bird feeder! ❤. I can’t wait to see how everything gets glazed. Sorry about the ghost, when things break it is a bummer, but thankfully we always have more clay and can make them again. I was sitting down to drink my morning coffee and got so excited when I saw you had a video up. 😊. Stay warm, my friend.
You are so welcome - you will hit 300 in no time 🥰 I am excited to get glaze on everything too - now it’ll be the choices I struggle with hahahaha have a great day my friend 🥰💕
Hi Laney, I’m new to watching your channel, it’s refreshing to see someone do low fire for a change. Love the punk ghost 😄 Forgive me if I’m speaking out of turn but it looks like your kiln shelves may be level with your elements and I believe that affects the temperature of the kiln because a lot of the heat gets absorbed into the shelf. Hope it helps 🙂
Hi Lesley, thank you for watching and thank you so much for the tip - isn’t it funny how we can know things but not see that we are doing them - I get so focussed on getting everything in and not touching etc that I have forgotten to even look at that 🥰 this is why I love RU-vid. Thanks so much for watching and commenting - I really do appreciate it 🥰💕
Great kiln load! Love the scrafito pieces!! I’m also a quilter so I love those pieces as well. Seeing your buttons reminded me that I have a bunch of buttons I didn’t put in my last 2 glaze kilns!! May I ask what tool you use to do your scrafitto? Your lines are so fine and I really like that!!
Aww thanks so much Michele 🥰💕 I got a Diamond Core L3 - it has a small football tool on one end and a large one on the other end 😊 thanks so much for watching I really appreciate it 💕🥰
Definitely a lot of time in glazing the honey comb quilt heart! Beautiful❤. I have been meaning to make some buttons. One of the ladies in my knitting group asked me to make some for a sweater she made. I was wondering if you have any tips.
Oh yay - buttons are so much fun - I just roll the clay quite thin and put texture on it - I let the clay set a bit before I use a circle cutter because I was struggling to get the button out 🥰 I can’t wait to see your buttons - also today is a public holiday here so I have been making a bird feeder inspired completely by yours 🥰💕
Nice kiln unload, Laney! Love the cute mushrooms! I also quilt. I have made a quilt doing that paper pieced hexagon pattern. That's a lot of work painting each little section! 8:15 8:15
Hi Laney 😊. We are moving into warmer weather here in Maryland, USA, just as you all are cooling down. Loved all the pieces that came out of the kiln. ❤ have a great rest of your week!!!
Wow! So many wonderful pieces. Your scraffito dishes look amazing. I haven’t done scrafito in a while. It was very relaxing the last time I did it so I might have to do some more of that soon. I really love that you are making your own texture stamps. Do you find that there is less sticking with them than stamps from other materials? I have used ones for fondant and some do ok but some I have to dip the stamp in corn starch.
Hiya Diana 🥰 thank you so much for watching my friend 🥰 with the texture stamps they are way better - I haven’t had one stick yet - I also dip my other stamps in cornflour but it can be a real pain can’t it 🥰
Omg that caravan is soo dang cute! Kiln wash will be your friend and also some kiln cookies. Love the buttons! I make buttons for a friend of mine that sews. They are so fun to put different glazes on.
Thanks so much Michele 🥰 I have kiln wash on the way phewww haha oh yes so fun trying different glazes for buttons - it’s like tiny test tiles haha 😝 thanks so much for watching I truly appreciate it 🥰
Thanks so much Diana 🥰💕🥰 I love the idea of them too, especially because I suffer from anxiety so I am looking forward to testing them out 💕🥰💕 thanks so much for watching - I truly appreciate it 🙏💕
