When a drug dealer talks to you like that after finding out you idolize him it shows that drug dealer hates himself for what he’s done in life and where he’s at and he doesn’t want anything to do with you. You look up to me? Get the f out of here boy you little b I t c h is exactly what he just said. After realizing he talked to that boy like that Andre was like, what did I just do, did I just talk a boy straight?
Out of all the black sitcoms that were made in Black America, ROC was the most realest one that other sitcoms replicated the formula. South Central, House of Payne. ROC was the first dramedy sitcom from an Black perspective. FOX cut it short because simply....it was too Black!!!!
Roc is feeling bad for joey because his friend Devon is running drugs with Andre and Joey is trying to stop Devon from doing something crazy and Joey wants to get Devon to play his trumpet 🎺🎺🎺 to get his life together and I'm feeling bad for Joey
“There are more of us good hardworking people than there are drug dealers (in the hood)” This and sentiments just like this throughout the show’s existence is why Roc got cancelled! Charles Duton refused to misrepresent us. And I thank you for that brother!
There are no more powerful episodes shows like this anymore. We are just drug dealers and screaming women who are wives of successful men. It’s a shame what how we are portrayed on TV and all we do is just gobble it up and act like its the greatest thing. I’m glad I was born in the 80s and got to see what real black family TV/Comedy was. We are proud beautiful funny intelligent and we need to stop letting them take that away from us
they barely show stuff like this in the movies any more there net flix productions dont even have this much emotion they dont want u to know about this stuff no more
I saw that Roc's efforts to talk sense into Andre were wearing down on Andre but to get him to stop selling drugs altogether wouldn't have been possible,he'd just do it elsewhere.
he also may have been in too deep. powerful people knew who he was and could have been forced to stay because of his contacts and what he knew, and that he had few skills outside of that. sad life
