REED is an American Manufacturer of Concrete Pumps, Grout Pumps, Shotcrete Equipment, Pan Mixers and Gunite Machines.

REED has been manufacturing concrete placing equipment since 1957 - and REED machines are working all over the world. REED is an Independent Member of the Shea Family of Companies which began in 1881.

These videos are not a substitute for the Printed REED Operation and Safety Manuals that come with all new REED pumps. When working with a REED Concrete Pump or Gunite Machine, it is extremely important that everyone using and near the machine has read those Official REED Operation and Safety manuals and have a clear understanding of how the machine works, and understand the proper methods of cleanout and troubleshooting. When working with REED equipment, we suggest that you always wear proper protective attire, including safety glasses, gloves, dust masks, etc to prevent injury. Also for anyone wondering, the blue silicone he’s using is a blue silicone gasket maker. Permatex ultra blue from NAPA is great for this 😊

Knocking the seal housing out with a drift was super hard. I got mine out easily by driving a metal wedge ( in this case, my chisel bit for air gun ) between the nut thats holding the chrome outlet and the seal housing. once the seal breaks, it comes out easily.

When you pump caissons you are ALWAYS going to fight water. The mix is always 5000psi. There is so much stopping and waiting to pump water and remove the sleeves, that the job can quickly devolve into a nightmare for the pump operator. To even touch a caissons job we require maximum retarder (3%) and at least 90 minute spacing on trucks. If those conditions are met, then the jobs are generally a success.

That is not a 2 inch slump at all. That is a 5 inch slump with a water hose running in the hopper to lube the Shotcrete up. The Reinert XR536 Shotcrete Pump Pumps 900 plus feet with ease, nozzles 2 men off the same pump also with a true 2 inch slump, and can push a real 1 inch slump. Check out Reinert @ the Action Shotcrete Supply RU-vid page. www.youtube.com/@shotcretesupply

Наверно стоит свой бетононасос изобрести и продать производителю
@user-sn9mn9dh1p
@user-sn9mn9dh1p 11 месяцев назад
При перемещении патрубка между секциями есть утечка бетона... Надо было сделать трубу питания линий двойной, а переключение подачи по типу вращающегося круга с одним отверстием с креплением в центре. Так и проще и надёжнее.

Never ever stick rebar into hopper. You'd be kicking rocks on my jobsite.
@synissilent9235
@synissilent9235 5 месяцев назад
My guy, if the pump is not in action and you take the proper precautions, nothing will happen. Sometimes the mud at the bottom gets hard inside of the hopper (and if you're really unlucky, along the top too) and your only option is to chip it/ poke it off with whatever you have available (hammers, crow bars, stakes, rebar, etc.) I've been doing it for more than half of my life and have never had an issue. I always make sure to check that the pump is in remote operation and turn off the remote so there can't be any accidental inputs just to be safe in the event that I have to stick my arms in there at all.
@beavergunsnroses3258

Poor excuses for disregarding safety. It only takes one time to change your mind. I too have spent more than half my life in this industry and have seen some horrible and completely avoidable accidents. All because " I know what the fuck I'm doing, been doing it for years." Sets a poor example.

@@beavergunsnroses3258 I explained what I do to make sure the pump will not move, which you could have seen if you read my full comment. If I was sticking an arm in while the mixer or swing tube were in operation, I'd see the problem, but I have not and will not do that because THAT is how you risk amputation. But maybe I should let my machine turn into a paperweight because I'm too scared to stick an arm in when it's not in operation🤷🏽‍♂️

The shield won't last long with that shoot rubbing on it. Looks good but you can't beat the dry process for the nozzle man. Pool guys around here use the Reed dry process machine and a volumetric truck for mix. No kick in the hose. I love my SOVA for repairs and once in a while I'll shoot with my pump that has a surge chamber,. That makes the 2.5" hose lay still.

That pile of waste on top of the poly with the rebar on top to get lifted out is a not a good idea. That will crumble and fall on peoples heads while being craned out. Better to chip it when it hardens and dispose of it.
