This interview is so cute when he speaks about Gretna! I can just picture it… 3 hour concert and she stayed! Can’t wait, finally going to see them in milawaukee!
Beware- looooong but heartfelt story. I was a child in the 80s but was pretty much confused by the overly simplified pop music of the time ("What IS this stuff?") because my Dad shared his very eclectic and sometimes complex music taste with me. I learned the words to Donovan and The Doors songs before I was in second grade, was inspired to look at the world and ask "why" by Buffy St Marie. I fell in love with the quiet, reflective tone of Joan Baez's folk albums and truly came to appreciate the scope of Ennio Moricone. I remember every click and pop of all the vinyl albums. Steppenwolf sat next to Blondie and Dolly Pardon sat next to Pink Floyd, The Stones, Frankie Lane, and Deep Purple. Bob Dylan was my personal poet and John Kay's gravely voice gave me chills. In my Dad's house, there was room for All and it was my job to know those old vinyl albums by heart so I could "spin my old Dad some groovy platters". My father encouraged my love of all music and I treasure those sessions with him where we would talk about each song , its "whys" and "hows". Because of the time spent looking at the music with a critical appreciation, living its sounds together and becoming bonded by the love of it, I know depth in music when I hear it. THIS. This is free-flowing creativity at its best. These young musicians can show us all a thing or two about intentionality in the face of cookie cutter creations and that is why it has been my great pleasure to show my Dad Greta Van Fleet knowing he will see what I see and love it, too.
Sam is too cute I can’t believe he hand wrote all of those🥹😭😭 he’s so cute I wish I was there it’s makes me so sad for the ppl who rejected him😭 if I was there I would’ve cried❤️❤️
Sweetie, as far as job interview.. your parents ot yu started that was your interview. Your job, you would have to try to figure out how long you are not on the job singing, travel, writing, practicing, etc. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤
What a fantastic thoughtful interviewer! Ive watched many of these interviews with the Greta members, and most of them are total fluff. They are asked the same inane questions in most interviews, one interviewer actually had the nerve to ask Danny about body odor!! It's very apparent this interviewer has actually listened to Greta Van Fleet, and did some research before the interview. Great job!
