This is the reason and the only reason my wife and I will travel to Tokyo instead of New York. Tipping has completely gotten out of hand in N.Y. Tipping when you do everything yourself!! Totally absurd and insane, would never do this. I wouldn't for a second feel any shame if I didn't leave a tip
Tbh any of the expensive "NY brunches" are honestly tourist traps. Most people don't live like that. I'd rather have a becspk any morning, and maybe a slice from the pizzeria by me any day. Any fancy bs, it's not really what most (if any) of us are eating.
I have been to Manhattan so many times. I DID NOT have one good experience with Taxi. Even though I confirmed is a flat rate before I got into the Taxi, he still demanded more money once I was in the car. He kept saying is not even worth it for him. Unwillingly, I even tipped him 18 percent tips for the ride. He canceled the transaction and told me I have to tipped him more. I told him that’s it. So he just stopped in near vicinity, threw my suitcase out and took off. I did not even know where I was, I had to walk another 15 min before I got to my hotel. Now I only do Uber or Lyft no matter how much it costs.
When I'm getting ready to go to NY- the only thing that is on my mind is- a bacon/egg & cheese sandwich on a keiser roll. Not seeing my family, not spending boring moments talking about when I used to live there. I'm on the plane thinking " tomorrow morning I'm getting a bacon, egg & cheese on a keiser roll, large coffee, and a Newsday. Can't wait!! ❤❤❤❤

I think I'll be doing this. I've lived in NYC for several years and I've been uncomfortable with bike riding in the city and for commuting. I'm finding it may be a great option for me and this seems to be a good way to get comfortable biking around the city. Thanks for sharing! ❤
It boggles my mind that some people cannot resist not eating for 2-3 hours. It's not your popcorn movie theaters. You are annoying people if you are munching your crackers in the middle of a scene. No book scenes in musicals are not disposable. They can be much more important to the show than many of the fluffy musical numbers that inundate contemporary musical theater.
I am so sorry but New York City has in no way the “best tap water in the world” I meam; It is safe to drink but it tastes like water from a pool because of all the chlorine.
