I can really see a massive difference in how war genre films are potrayed in American films and foreign films. I think in regards to the accuracy, the foreign films evoke a more sombre, more painful, more miserable tone and that is war is, pain, misery, suffering. Great films.
I’m obsessed with Leprous since 2 months, shame on me I’m only discovering them now at 42. I bought 3 albums and will buy all of them soon. Amazing band. Love this song.
Same here, but 41...3 albums. Singer is nephew of my girlfriend's uncle (married to her mum's sister...so we don't really now that side of his family). I am obsessed with this song...that staccato riffing, when the stabs of organ kick in, sooooo good!!!!
The increasing resistance The open wounds A paralyzed flock Steadily drowns The incline getting steeper While legs turning numb The quivering surface The unavoidable descent Off the edge I have been thrown Down Vanished All that I've known Down Off the edge I have been thrown Down Vanished All that I've known Down Revelation yet to come The self is growing stronger The dusk Remains longer Like parasites, they devour Violating the creation The absence of the conscience The shallow congregation Off the edge I have been thrown Down Vanished All that I've known Down Off the edge I have been thrown Down Vanished All that I've known Down Off the edge I have been thrown Down Vanished All that I've known Down Off the edge I have been thrown Down Vanished All that I've known Down Reaching towards the unknown
WOW!! I thought I've seen all the WW2 movies. I'm so wrong. I've seen only 9 (The Flowers of War, 9th April, 13 minutes, The Counterfeiters, The King's Choice, Flame and Citron, Land of Mine, Max Manus and In Darkness) from this video and they were all so good especially Land of Mine, Counterfeiters and Max Manus. (P.S. : "A bag of Marbles" (2017) deserves a mention too)
@@yakoshibanakushetka2924 no, imbecile!!! You're just another functional illiterate and useful idiot that never heard about or read Eric Hobsbawm, a Marxist historian, who among many others (that you have never read) said exactly what I wrote, imbecile!
Einar's vocals are phenomenal on the first chorus, perfect! 4:10 is Baard purposedly beating the snare off-beat while maintaining steady double pedal? Duuude.
@@TheHalfGlassFullGuy hmm, I guess it could be treated as polyrhythm... anybody can give a musicological explanation of this one? I haven't really heard this off-beat snare anywhere else. He's generally quite incredible indeed!
@@PharaHerine Nah, not a polyrhythm. He just hits the snare a sixteenth (or eigth, I don't know which tempo they use) later than what's usual. But compared to all the other wizardry this guy is performing on drums, this is pretty simple and basic stuff. The pattern he's playing in the part right before the double bass part (from 3:48 onwards) is much more complex and difficult.
