We are a nomadic pair who loves to travel. Currently, we embark on short day trips that are normally within a 4.5-hour driving radius of our current home base in Raleigh, NC. We will be adventuring to New England - and perhaps Old England - and beyond in the coming months.
Make yourself comfortable as you climb into the virtual passenger seat or walk along with us as we absorb the culture and vibes of some of America's most charming towns and cities. The destinations of our trips are indeed beautiful, but the journeys are just as memorable.
We hope our travels will ignite joyful memories of places past or inspire you to take short trips as well to fill your memories with more people and places.
We'd love to have you subscribe to our channel and follow us as we travel.
For me, this is a great job, but when there is a sound with techno drums or a sound that makes the meaning of the system, it is beautiful in the voice of the broadcaster. I LOVE THIS MIX I AM RADIO MIX DJ SPIN JORDAN🇯🇴🇯🇴🛰📡🔊🎤🎊🎉💞
Nice concise video. I am very familiar with Hillsville. My parents grew up there. One correction to the text: Hillsville was named after the Hill family, one of the founding families of the town. Previous to that the area was called Cranberry Plain.
It's the best because it's the only one 😂. Triangle off Capital is basically closed and Cary Towne Center is closed. The next mall is Southpointe in Durham. North Hills used to be an actual mall but now it's a collection of restaurants with stores, a Target and a movie theater placed throughout.
Norfolk is the central hub in the entire South Eastern area of the Hampton Roads Metro area which is home to NATO, Norfolk Naval Station Norfolk, PETA, Douglas MacArthur Memorial, and historic districts... Hampton Roads consist of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Hampton, and New Port News (Including North Eastern North Carolina)...a lot of politics in the area has caused setbacks in progressive growth that is a challenge as far as development. Overall it's an active and evolving area that is offering to those who live, work, and play in the region awesome opportunities to experience a top-notch quality of living!
I grew up in this town. My family moved a few miles north to Halifax, so we're still in SB a fair deal (especially my dad). There's a few "hoods" where the gang/crime rate is higher (my mom grew up in one of them) but there's many good or mild parts of the town, though I hear the crime rate has risen.
@@christinarinaldo6238 The hood my mom grew up in was a project home called Southside (or South Side, I don't know if there's a space in the name) though granted I hear it may be better now than what it was like in the 1980's. Nowadays there's a place called Four Oaks where a lot of the meth addicts seem to live. Often if I hear of some crime in this county, it comes from there.

Glad you liked the tour. It is one of the most beautiful college campuses we've seen. We've stayed at the Inn at Darden, which was quite reasonable at the time we went. Bodo's Bagels a favorite stop as well as Roots (there's a location in Chapel Hill).
@@cityscapestravel I had a chance to study economics for a semester at UVA in 1975. Back then the economics department was in Rouss Hall. It was a wonderful experience and a honor to be a student at Mr. Jefferson's University. Best wishes!
14:28 fancy fancy! I worked at Crabtree a few shifts in the mid to late 90's. I worked a second job at The Bombay Company(at Cary Town Center mall, now demolished to make way for a gaming company HQ), which sold very expensive looking "wood" furniture for decent prices, mirrors, prints, candle holders, and the like. They sent me there a few times when they didn't have coverage. It's nice to see that mall is still pretty busy and hasn't changed all that much like virtually everything else has. Shopped there sometimes too. Many of the stores are different, but not all. The first floor used to flood on occasion. I wonder if they ever did anything to shore up Crabtree Creek with levees or something.
