Its too rigid for bends in the pipe, ideal for straight pipes or pipes above 150mm (6") We had obstruction is a 100mm pipe this evening and the product is too rigid for this diameter of pipework. This aside it looks good quality and a nice product.

Hi Andrew, thanks for your comment. We actually have three sizes of Grabber to help out with most lost objects you might be dealing with. The Small Grabber can help with pipes DN50-75 (2-3”), the Original Picote Grabber is good for pipes DN100 and upwards, and the Large Grabber is designed for 6” (DN150) and larger. Which size did you try?

Thanks for your question, we supply cameras integrated with the Picote Mini Miller +C and Mini Cleaner +C, with self-levelling and non-levelling camera head options available; these can also be retro-fitted onto standard Mini Cleaner and Mini Miller models. More specs can be found on our site at: www.picotegroup.com/products/millers-camera. The camera used in this video is not something that we supply.

This is a great video, but most pipes rot out in the bottom, not on the top, as shown in your video. How well does it work with trench rot in the bottom of the pipe? Show us, Much love for the Picote!
@Picotesolutions
@Picotesolutions 2 месяца назад
Thanks for the feedback! You're absolutely right and the pipe was positioned that way for ease of filming. The Smart Spider centralises itself no matter the orientation of the pipe. Of course if there is only half a pipe left the damage will be too great for cleaning, but for partial damage this tool will help you to prep for lining and hopefully eliminate the need to dig!

Are cyclone for more delicate pipes like really old cast iron? Knockers bounce around too much for me
@Picotesolutions
@Picotesolutions 3 месяца назад
Yes, the cyclone chains centre themselves in the pipes. For very fragile pipes we would recommend the Smart Spider, Smart Cutter™️ and Wire Brushes as more gentle options, depending on the pipe size. If you would like to discuss a specific job with our technical team please get in touch via the website and we will give you a call!

This is just a demo to show the process of using the Pipe Cutter for cutting out the bulk of the excess lining. In real life the remaining section would then be ground back using the Picote Smart Cutter™️.

Hello! We understand your misgivings with such a challenging rehab task. Of course this video is just an example, but our Services Team in Finland do this work regularly with nothing more than a basic CCTV camera pointing down the lateral line. These tools have been developed to make the positioning as quick and easy, and also accurate as possible with a single camera. Feel free to check out our other videos, including the Connection Collar Webinar for real-time footage showing exactly what can be done with NO clear pipes! If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us at www.picotegroup.com.

Hat modul inside side conection it does not adhere to the pipe as it should ,paper and everything else will get stuck on the edge, which will lead to clogging of the pipe after prolonged use.

How could that possibly made that turn? That’s crazy I think the only reason it made that turn because that Wye connection hit the cement in the floor if it was a straight piece of pipe going underground I don’t think you could’ve made that turn on that big 4 inch wye

Would it work to clear an asphalt pipe?
@Picotesolutions
@Picotesolutions Год назад
Thanks for your comment. The answer is that it depends. If you mean road tar in the pipe then it would depend on the volume of tar. It is possible to remove small amounts of tar in short sections but it would have to be done slowly to avoid melting the tar. If you mean cleaning Orangeburg pipe, then yes, it is possible to re-round or remove inconsistencies with Picote PVC chains and the Picote Twister Cleaner. For a more detailed conversation feel free to contact us at www.picotegroup.com/contact-and-support and we will put you in touch with our experienced technical team.

@Picotesolutions Год назад
Hi, good question! This job was completed a few years ago so we can't say for certain. This work can usually be completed in an hour or so for an average sized house, but it all depends on condition, pipe diameter, how worn the tool is, the experience of the operator and of course length of pipe! Our technical team usually say 5 mins per metre of pipe is enough, but there are so many variables that this is a very rough estimate. If you would like to discuss this further please send your details using the contact forms on our website at www.picotegroup.com and we will give you a call!

Indeed, but we would recommend a Tiger Drill Chain as a better option for soft blockages instead; it would be more efficient at clearing the blockage rather than compacting it. It's always worth having a range of tools at your disposal. More information can be found at www.picotegroup.com or at www.picoteinstitute.com (free to sign up!)

Wow, I need this on my cast iron drain pipe. I don’t fully understand the design of the head, but I understand the principles it operates on, and it makes total sense. Would come in constant contact with the sides without being rigid Where it could take a gouge out of an uneven section. I’m guessing the centripetal force of the spinning head makes it expand?
