A lot of negative comments on here, but this video was one of the first to inspire me to take up parkour, and I am grateful and beyond happy to say that it has become an integral part of my life and given me the tools to shape myself into who I am today. Thank you for your work Mr. Daud, you have and will continue to inspire many.
Thanks, Joshua! It really made my day to see your comment. I hope you keep up the parkour and I'm glad our little film helped get you interested. I also see you're a filmmaker. Hopefully, I can see your work one day - Shahir
I didn't understand the end of it. Was he surprised of her deciding to travel with him even though they did not marry (yet), or was the regret for how crappy the marriage ceremony went? Without additional details I'm opting for the latter but she seems to have a character who would appreciate a second ceremony, so the regret feels like a mistake, and probably is. The film did very well establishing him enough as a weirdo to let this mistake be believable, but exactly because of this, I don't know what I should take from the movie at all. Others say the film makes them smile. I feel concern and I feel really stupid. Just re-watched the end - they did get married. At least that was told, though I missed it. I mean, I want to blame the movie but...
+edgedg Glad you took the time to watch! My intention was that the regret was that knowing that even just for a moment, Savannah didn't love him (at the wedding) - the thought that she fell out of love with him as he waned on his commitment to her is his biggest regret. They managed to resolve this at the end and move to the US together, but all marriages are about accepting the possibility of failing and going ahead anyway.
same because I watched so many suicide ones and depressed ones and I was sad, and I searched happy short films but all of them are about depression. :(

There is one I just watched about to unlikely friends that do a journalism project together and have a misunderstanding and still stay friends but I can't find it.
This short film features a man with a green card, and a girlfriend he can take with him to immigrate - provided he marries her. Told with beautiful shots and amusing back stories, this film gave me the fuzzies. Made me smile today. Lovely.
ha! you could have just asked on this comments page - would have happily given you all the info. You can see some of the VFX breakdowns on my showreel page here: Shahir Daud Showreel 2011
football: running around and shooting a ball around parkour (which is not a sport): physical way of moving which needs tons of conditioning before mastering. try and climb a vertical 3.5 meters wall, try and leap hands first on concrete, let's see how ez it's gonna be for you..
