Honest, non-dealer reviews on products we use on the Homestead. Whether have had had the equipment, have the equipment or demoing the equipment for potential future purchase. This channel also includes work around the homestead, maintenance on equipment, deer hunting and food plots. Including pond upkeep as well.
It was fairly stable. The legs are pretty wide. The floor did have the slightest squeak though. I ended up laying a rubber mat down on the grating to dampen the squaek
I know this is an older post but as far as shooting rails go, I use foam pipe insulation and I snugly wrap it in a spiral 2-3 layers thick. I have it on stands that have been in place for at least 2 years and have hardly any squirrel damage. I believe the tape being sticky detours them. Hope this helps 🤘🏻
Good review..What do you think about the 180SD or titan... If your hiking distance is not too far? Only one to two miles? I hunt on my own land in Germany and i´m searching for the most comfortable seat, for rifle and shotgun hunting.
I have not experienced those. I know my first climber was like 30 pounds and it was just a back breaker. I would assume anything summit would have a similar seat. I just needed the big boy cause I'm fat lol
Over seed wheat or rye a month after planting, im doing a mix of wheat, rye over mine incase they don't take to the brassica. Its my first yr also and im not sure they will slay mine either! But this way there is diversity! And i added clover to but it won't be much this yr
Thanks for the review. I have had loads of flagship zero turns from many different manufacturers. Many of those had Kawi motors and my last two flagships (Ferris and now Stihl) have had the huge Vanguard motors and I think the Vanguards arr the best motors ever made.
I am also in Ohio with a 3/8 acre pond that is covered in duckweed, except for around the aerator. This is the first I've heard of fluridone. I may give it a try. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Totally agree on the Kawasaki engines. Never one problem between two ExMarks with them. Will be looking to replace my mower in 2-3 years and am researching now, among them Wright, Scag, and maybe Ferris (biggest dealer near me is big on Ferris). That was the most frank and critically honest review I've seen in months. Thank you!
I tried the scag turf tiger 2 and hated everything about it. I don't have a ferris dealer local, that would let me demo one. I consider these things the same as cars. If I'm going to thousands, I want to drive and cut with it first. I ended up buying the wright mower and absolutely love it. It's the comfort for me. No matter what speed I go, it's a smooth ride. Cuts great and stripes better than any mower I've tried. Which is saying something, because the dixie chopper can lay a stripe.
Dude!!! Your video saved my life! I have a magnum 2250 r 50 inch, and my blades didn't seem to have full power when under load. I just needed to move my engine back just to get that little snug feel on my drivebelt
I'm with you. I prefer Kawasaki. I was recently told by an actual engineer (not a sales rep) I had a chance to spend some time with and talk to at one of the big brands that when they were designing one of their new models, they tested both the Kaw 38.5 efi and the VG 40 efi on a dyno and the Kaw consistently hit its rating but the VG gave between 32 to 34 hp per run on the dyno .
GO BACK AND GET A DIXIE HACKER, B&S IS JUST THAT, THAT'S WHY THEY ARE USING A VANGUARD, WHEN A KAWALSKI GET TO 2000 HOURS TOSS IT, YOU CAN'T KEEP UP WITH THE PARTS AFTER 2K... LIKE YOUR WRIGHT, IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT...
Burris could Have did a whole lot better on that scope for the price it's just junk never thought i would be disappointed by Burris but they to fix the problems fast are quite selling junk
On my new ( purchased on 28 August 2023 / now 15.6 hours ) ZXT 72 61G8 / sn: 161469LF : I just had my dealership: D & J Equipment, Inc in Longwood, FL, upgrade my mower to the Wright part #72410104 " Tweel Wheel Rear Tires." 🤠 OH YEA !👍
Yep, fellow fatty here, this is the stand I bought waiting for it to show up in the mail... solid video, helpful. I look forward to sleeping in mine, too. Haha!
@homesteadhero6276 id love to love it .. but iv fought it for 100s of rounds... now waiting 5 to 6 weeks for it to get returned . . Not real happy with mine
Got it back faster than expected which was great... but guess what.... did the same thing I returned it for... I can throw my hawk scope on and shoot clock hands... so now it's on its way back for the 2nd time... let's hope for the best... not real pleased right now
Honestly. I can't. I've had both motors. I've never experienced problems out of my kawasaki. Years and years of abuse. Just kept going. This is my first vanguard. I've had issues out of smaller Briggs. But this is my first big Briggs. So we'll see how she holds up as the years go
That reserve sounds like it's a Canned Hunting preserve, which is where animals are placed in a confined area with nowhere to run or escape to, and are able to be easily picked off by hunters, not to mention the animals are somewhat tame, unlike wild animals that are very skittish.
Great video. Thank you. I’m a big boy too and this definitely sealed the deal with me. I had a summit viper before and hated it. Look forward to getting this one.
