This engine just broke in, so still running rich, and I guess you missed the part where I'm still not in high gear or leaned out on engine ?......... I'm smoking the stock engine that has the high gear with just my engine, what does yours run?.....
too rich on your mid speed needle or high speed maybe rich, but you wont know until you adjust mid speed. need to tune that blubbering out when you hit throttle. also adjust idle screw a bit after you get a crisp throttle response.
@@RuggedRc no prob. Just went through the same thing tuning a new .21 motor on my buggy. Couldn’t figure out why I kept flaming out until I started adjusting the mid speed. Nice car btw.
Bring her to a smooth and a little more open road and she will show you a bit more - 1/10 is a great Touring class and is a fun challenge to get speed out of 💯 Thanks for the vid 🩷
@@Nitro_rc_life Yea this is an high RPM engagement clutch, I'm going to try to adjust the second gear clutch tighter and if I can't get it to shift, I'll Switch back, got a lot of time in these on roads though, you got nice collection of monster trucks , Im going to get a Savage bro, missing my monster trucks after all this work 😂
It's in Instruction manual in red letters the black letters is stock but the highest gears you can get is 20-25 tooth pinion part#903801-903645 and 56-61 spur
@@thekingcamaro124 oh and a tip to change the pinion you can get a plumber pipe wrench the splines fit perfect in the gear and you can just snug it to in screw it from the clutch bell, because can't get the tool nowhere sold out . And when you put new ones on , a little thread lock and just snug it because the way the motor turns it tightens up more KGM has a video on it but it's not that hard
Never will any other engine match the 35 plus .21…they were the staple for performance for 15+ years … have a brand new Rb mods 35 plus in a glass case in my shelf…will probably never use…they were reliable easy to tune and wicked fast end no need to modify unless ur like me who just isn’t satisfied unless I’m running on the ragged edge
I know I kinda don't want to run it but I got to see what it will do ,I will probably run it a little then put it up, I don't if I'll run my REX on Road though

Brother you need to heat your engine up I have the 288 and that thing needed a lot of heat... And if you start that engine at an angle you're going to ruin the starter... If the Allen key is there an angle when you're starting it you're going to ruin the one-way bearing...
Good Show Man !!! The FW-06 stock engine sounds like something is holding it back... Maybe the pipe or the timing #'s ? idk ... Might like to be modified like your going to do with the GXR.28 ? Looking forward to seeing the Gimar modified .21 in the Serpent with the new clutch and gears !!!
