Thankyou! You're right, they were all awful haha but Poseidon r*ped Medusa in Athena's temple and Athena punished Medusa for it, not Poseidon and then for thousands of years people have believed Medusa to be this awful creature and that doesn't sit right with me at all.
That's a cool idea. I love Greek myths. Been listening to so many Greek myths books. I did a "Persephone's home" 2 years ago. The 1st floor is where Persephone lives with Demeter, while the basement is the underworld where she lives with Hades. I did those 3 in CAS as well. You should take in to account that young girls in that era wore their hair down until they became teenagers - then they were allowed to wear their hair up. Also, the Grand Duchesses contracted measles and had to have their heads shaved - I believe this was when they were in the first stage of their imprisonment. There are many photographs of this period. Regarding jewellery - each Grand Duchess was presented with a simple gold bracelet at the age of 11 or 12 by their parents, which they typically wore nearly all the time. Fashion at that time required younger girls to wear short dresses - just below the knee. As they matured, became young women, they wore ankle length skirts and dresses.
I think you're missing the POINT of this movie, it's clearly not MEANT to be good. It's a deliberately bad movie. No one can make a movie THAT bad on accident. 😂 it's so bad it's good. Anastasia is LITERALLY sitting on a swing with Rasputin at the beginning and then acts like she's never seen a swing before with Megan. 😂 The credits call Anastasia's mom "Tsarina Romanov"! 😂 theres no way this was intended to be good. It's so bad i doubted it was a real film and not a fever dream i had until i realized i owned the DVD.
I wish people would stop calling Anastasia Once Upon a Time the live action movie which yes it is A live action movie about Anastasia but phrasing it that way you KNOW people will think its a remake of the Bluth version which it's not.

This was my favorite movie as a child. I loved Anastasia and Dimitri as well as the other characters! The film's "Journey to the Past" introduced me to my favorite entertainer Aaliyah (who also passed)...there are just so many memories and emotions linked to this film. I've been contemplating starting my Anastasia collection, and it has taken me some time (since I collect a variety of doll lines from my childhood, but your video has encouraged me to start prioritizing this lovely collection. The broadway show will be coming to my area soon, so I'm hoping to get a couple in my collection before then. Thanks for sharing!
Does anybody know where to find a music box like this? Something similar? Around 10-15 years ago my parents "helped" me buy one for my grandmother. Her house recently burned down in an accident, and she lost the music box in the fire. I can't seem to find a good one that isn't super expensive.
I'm going to try to build a replica of one, but more accurate gems and a moving turn table. I'm going to try to mold four different characters and have them waltz at the same time.
I loved Anastasia as a kid and had all the dolls and that including this one I still got her dad and grandma but I lost her I got the skating doll again other day at a great price off eBay but it could be that Russia is well known for its great skaters so guess Ana is getting in on the act
