Maybe gluteus medius hurts from tight psoas muscle that covered for weaker abs and low back muscles in heavier lifting 🤷🏼♂️ try exercises for stabilizer muscles!
I had that problem too, the first 6 months of gym I injured my lower back because I did everything wrong back then. What I did is stretching, rest, and I did some hyperextensions to strenghten the lower back, and it worked. Another thing I did is I strenghtened and stretched my hip flexors and abductors too. It can also be because of the chair that you are using in the video. It is very dry wood and not soft. Also, it does not hold your hips to support the weight of your back.
