Correct, the top 2 buttons are the accidentals Eb/F on the G row and Ab/Bb on the D row, although they have been slightly altered to suit my needs (basically the Eb and the Ab on the push of the bellows, instead of the pull)
I don't suppose there is anyway you could message me the chords to this? I've managed to figure most of them out myself, but it doesn't sound as good as your version :D
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. However those variations of Flatworld are not my own. Clive Williams was the man responsible for them, he's an old friend and fellow melodeon player and I learnt them from his version, which he played on the album of the band he's in called GIGCB (George Inn Giant Ceilidh Band), my Uncle was also a member of the band and I used to play sessions with them in the pub of the same name in South London.
I'm afraid I don't, I learnt it by ear, sorry I couldn't help you. The version I play here isn't the original, but an arrangement by another melodeon player friend of mine. I play it on a 2 row, 8 bass D/G Dino Bafetti melodeon.
@SirDidymus1979 Yeah I was aware the first tune was Man in The Brown Hat as I'm a huge Blowzabella fan, I didn't know the name of the second tune though and I thought Delphine Florez might've given them a French name or something, lol.
This is Played in 'D' on a DG melodeon and the first tune is 'The Man in the Brown Hat' by C.Stapleton of Blowzabella (UK) Its featurred on their Richer Dust CD played in 'C' ... great playing , great tune! Derek
This was played in ' D' and the first tune is written by C. Stapleton of Blowzabella UK where it was played on their Richer Dust CD in 'C' ....its a superb tune! ... Derek
This has become my favorite melodeon tunes to play these days. Thank you. Any chance of you making a video with just the melodeon playing and not the keyboard accompaning? Just curious what you do with your left hand.
I'm In the market for a box when I have the cash - inspired largely by attending european dance workshops with my guitar and mandolin - I don't think they give the music as much as a box though. This is a lovely tune - what's it called?
Sadly, I haven't seen a great deal of Breton melodeon tunes on here. When I get a decent webcam though, I will record a video of me playing some more Breton tunes. Watch this space! :-)
Thank you! I have never had lessons, I taught myself basically just by using books and listening to music and other players and playing by ear.... I'm sure that with a little time and patience, that you could play as well as me. :-)
